MSNBC Launches the Beginning of Never Bernie

The panic on the professional left has begun. What is the “professional left” you say?

Those who make a fabulous living in media talking about reaching the goals that Bernie Sanders speaks of, they just never thought they would be part of the full-blown plan in their lifetimes.

The lefties at MSNBC have launched the #NeverBernie movement and they are dead serious about it.

As of this writing with almost 50% of the results so far tallied in Nevada, Bernie Sanders sailed to victory with close to 47% of the vote. Here are the numbers from Politico
With around half of the results tallied as of Sunday morning, Sanders’ locked-in base of young, Latino and liberal voters was more than enough to propel him to a decisive victory.
The Vermont senator was the top choice for young voters, winning roughly six-in-10 of those under age 45, according to entrance polls. And he won about half of Hispanic and Latino caucus-goers, far more than any other candidate.
Sanders had 46.6 percent of the vote with 49.88 percent of precincts reporting. Biden had 19.2 percent, and Buttigieg had 15.4 percent.
Joe Biden, who has been trying to revive his flagging campaign, is in second place, but far behind Sanders. Pete Buttigieg is a close third, followed by Elizabeth Warren at 10.3 percent. Tom Steyer and Amy Klobuchar failed to receive double-digit support.

This means Bernie has now won three states in a row with the popular vote and will sail into South Carolina with all the wind at his back going into Super Tuesday and to win the nomination.

The result of this means that the fine folks over at MSNBC and the regular establishment Democrats have now formed their own #Never movement and Bernie is square in the center of it. What we have seen so far from these people in attacking Bernie has been nothing but a mild warm-up to what we will see now that the warning siren has been sounded.

The absolute sheer terror of Chris Matthews and the folks over at MSNBC yesterday about Bernie crushing the opposition here was not missed by Van Jones over at CNN who tried to calm nerves among the progressive faithful.

From Mediaite
As Jones spoke about Sanders’ momentum in the 2020 race, he remarked, “The establishment is upset and there is another station, another channel, and another few things going on tonight where people are freaking out and melting down all across the country, or at least, all over the airwaves.”
Democratic strategist James Carville — no fan of Sanders — was on MSNBC to react to the caucus’ progression, and he went on a notable diatribe against the Vermont senator. After that, MSNBC host Chris Matthews seemed to take things up a notch by making a garbled comparison between Sanders’ projected triumph and Germany’s defeat of France in World War II.

Van Jones was sure as hell not talking about Brett Baier who is just about unflappable as can be. Jones was absolutely pointing out that MSNBC stalwart Matthews and others were sounding the alarm that #NeverBernie had to be implemented to stop him from destroying the Democratic party. My colleague here at Red State, Bonchie, wrote yesterday about Matthews saying four more years of Trump was better than a Bernie Sanders Presidency.

Now that the #NeverBernie movement has been initiated, it will be interesting to see how they interact with #NeverTrump and if they borrow ideas from each other. Already some #NeverTrump people are hedging their bets if Bernie gets the nomination and have not ruled out voting for Trump, so this whole dynamic will be the most fascinating in our political lifetimes to watch.

Personally I can’t wait for this whole ball to get rolling and I now have to watch “Hardball With Chris Matthews” again to keep up with the #NeverBernie crowd.
