California Land of Fruits and Nuts
The opinions of the author do not necessarily represent management.
California was once the land of opportunity.
But it is slowly going down the tubes, people are already leaving California in great numbers,
Approximately 225,000 residents leave California each year and have done so for the past 10 years.
They take their money with them, California’s out-migration results in large shares of income going to other states, mostly to Nevada ($5.67 billion), Arizona ($4.96 billion), Texas ($4.07 billion) and Oregon ($3.85 billion).
California politicians can fleece people, but there’s no guarantee that they can continue to do the same forever because people are leaving.
There is a way for California politicians to solve their fiscal mess.
They can simply stop wealthy people from leaving the state or, alternatively, like some Third World nations, set limits on the amount of assets a resident can take out of the state.
California could set up border controls to stop people, as East Germans did at Checkpoint Charlie, before they cross the state line.
California's past Attorney General Kamala D. Harris floated an idea to sue Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Oregon in the federal courts for enticing, through lower taxes and less onerous regulations, wealthy California taxpayers.
That idea was scoffed at by Constitutional Lawyers.
California Liberals tout their state will be fossil free by 2045!
https://www.npr.org/2018/09/10/646373423/california-sets-goal-of-100-percent-renewable-electric-power-by-2045
The California bill specifically requires that 50 percent of California's electricity to be powered by renewable resources by 2025 and 60 percent by 2030, while calling for a "bold path" toward 100 percent zero-carbon electricity by 2045. ("Zero-carbon" sources include nuclear power, which is not renewable.)
The problem is this plan requires power from hydro, solar, wind and nuclear. But California Liberals don't allow nuclear while hydro, wind, and solar don't produce power sufficient for peak requirements.
The answer, giant battery systems! BWHAHAHA!!!!!
Let's see, Democrats have had super majorities and control of California for nearly fifty years and they need 26 more to achieve their goals, so in 76 years they can achieve Nirvana? LMAO!
As California loses a quarter of million people a year, but gain nearly that many illegal immigrants, will changing producing taxpayers with a people who have minimal to no skills or education really support this goofy plan?
Why are Liberal so pathetic? Why have they not achieved in California the following?
1. Total Alternative Energy?
2. No Fossil Fuel Vehicle throughout the state?
3. San Francisco ONLY! No vehicles unless EV?
4. Total Solar power in SF only?
5. No products made with petroleum products sold in California?
6. High Speed Rail throughout the state?
7. No unemployment?
8. No homelessness?
9. Universal Income for All California Residents?
10.Free Education for All California Residents?
Once again we see that Liberals talk a good game, achieve none of their rhetoric or ideologies.
It appears to me California is already practicing "Warrenomics", How is that working out?
