Dems Hold American Air Travelers Hostage To Save Illegal Aliens

We’re more than a month into the latest Democrat-led government shutdown with Transportation Security Administration agents going on a second pay period with no income, leading hundreds of them to quit and thousands of them to just not go into work. Travelers are facing security lines that stretch for hours, and that’s on top of still more flight cancellations and delays.

It’s so fortunate for Democrats that the president has started a war they quietly support and which allows them to talk about anything other than their shut down in the name of halting deportations.

And that’s absolutely, indisputably the reason they initiated the shutdown. Don’t forget the things Democrats did and said about foreigners who illegally broke into this country and tried to stay at American taxpayer expense. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., two years ago called illegal aliens “the people we care about most.” Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, another Democrat in the Senate, dropped everything he was doing last year to fly to El Salvador in an attempt to reimport a self-professed illegal alien who had been deported. At least five congressional Democrats in recent months have called to “abolish ICE.”

That context is never included in media reports on this particular shutdown, though. Not when the topic is immigration. Democrats are never asked to justify their position against deporting even a single person who is in this country illegally. To the extent that they are, they’re permitted to say some variation of, “We all want a safe and secure border,” before they go back to working day and night to ensure that no illegal alien is removed.

They do it because foreigners are their highest priority, next to American welfare recipients (though at least those are actual Americans). For Democrats, that’s “the people we care about most.” They’ll do anything for them, including shutting down the U.S. government.
