I'M TIRED OF ALL THESE COWARDS!

The gov't regulates what can be said by leaders
(Pastors- Ministers) to retain their tax free status.

The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code that prohibits 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, including charities, universities, and churches, from endorsing or opposing political candidates. It was introduced by then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson in 1954 and has been part of the tax code since then.

.

In recent years, some politicians, including former President Donald Trump, have sought to repeal the amendment, arguing that it restricts the free speech rights of churches and other religious groups.

However, these efforts have been criticized because churches have fewer reporting requirements than other non-profit organizations, and because it would effectively make political contributions tax-deductible.

In 2017, attempts to include a repeal of the Johnson Amendment in the tax bill were blocked by the Senate parliamentarian due to concerns that it did not meet the budgetary requirements for inclusion in the bill.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has called on the IRS commissioner to enforce the Johnson Amendment strictly, emphasizing its importance in maintaining the separation of church and state.
