"Palestinian and some Arab officials fear that Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner - who is the architect of the Deal of the Century (the agreement to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict and also a close ally of the crown prince) - could ultimately convince him to support this plan."
Out of that whole article, this is a point to articulate on. Just another self-confession to who is really responsible for what's going on in Gaza with innocent bystanders being murdered, starved and ran out of their homes. As if the Jared Kushner's book, his interview at Harvard, A Middle East Dialogue with Jared Kushner, and the interview with Al Jazeera, Time to Try Something New wasn't already enough evidence they need to seek more arrest warrants, the admission they are the architects of the whole plan without specifically stating as a result of the Abraham Accords, reflects upon the whole world knowing it now and everyone afraid to acknowledge the truth.
The rest of the article goes on to highlight what all the department of defense head officials told Jared Kushner when they met in the war room at the white house when he came back with promises from Saudia Arabia of what they would agree to do when it came to the Abraham Accord and normalizations with Israel if they dealt with Hamas first. As they, and Rex Tillerson in particular tried to tell Kushner, that it was a nice gesture, but he was a naive young man and that the Saudi's can't be trusted, and they never keep their word. They refused to work with him on it, told him it was going to be a disaster, and he was going to take all the blame. Netanyahu repeatedly told him that you can't just change borders, and this stuff wasn't going to fly. Kushner just labeled them all rejectionist and obstructionist and going as far as to say that Netanyahu had served Israel for far too long in his opinion. Now Saudi Arabia is doing exactly as described. These are the individuals the US is dealing with in promises of upgrades in new weapons technologies, as the article makes mention, if they can't hold the deal(s) they've already made, what makes anyone think they will hold to any future deals made.
