Reports: Why Kamala Chose Walz, and Why Her Camp Is Already Irked by Him

Have you heard?  Tim Walz is a football coach, veteran, and casserole cooker.  He hunts.  He's Midwest normal, personified.  The media's propaganda machine is morphing to include Kamala Harris' new running mate in the deification zone, discussing him in virtually universally glowing terms.  They are laying it on as thick as I've ever seen, not even attempting to disguise their passion for getting the Democratic ticket elected this fall.  The coverage reflects the emotions of a group of activists who are redirecting all of the negative energy they endured between the June debate and playing an active role forcing Biden from the race.  They are liberated and energized by having a fresh campaign to promote.  And Saving Democracy is now just a few months of determined work away.  Even by their standards, it has been breathtaking to watch.  I mean, just look at this small sample:

He "reads moderate" if you simply ignore his record and policy positions, that is. Which they intend to do. More on that subject to come. Kamala Harris has avoided literally all questions because she knows she can get away with it. The campaign will agree to a select few sit-downs at some point (I think), but will mostly stick to scripted and stage-managed events, replete with teleprompters and cheering crowds. They'll spend their Everest of cash on advertising, curating and burnishing an image that's eagerly reinforced by their media partners. They plan to grab national and swing state leads by the end of the summer -- they've already succeededto a significant extent -- then coast on this form of autopilot, basking in the halo of this manufactured hype and reborn image.  If Donald Trump ventures down self-destructive rabbit holes, and if his campaign cedes a lot of the battlefield to them along the way, all the better.  They may well still lose, of course, and the risk of that outcome increases with voters knowing...well, almost anything about what they believe.  We've run through Kamala Harris' extreme worldview and record.  We will continue to do so.  She is the most left-wing nominee ever.  Her running mate reflects her ideology (stay tuned for a piece about that), her insecurities, and her refusal to buck her hardcore br.

The Squad, and the Democrats' intensely anti-Israel core (including openly anti-Semitic pro-Hamas elements), wildly celebrated the selection of Tim Walz over the relatively moderate, Jewish Pennsylvania Governor -- who was seen by many as the obvious choice and odds-on favorite.  The most bigoted and radical Democrats in Congress are thrilled with the choice, and the snub it represents.  The rabidly anti-Semitic Democratic Socialists of America took a victory lapover Walz, the man CBS News tells us is merely a casserole-baking 'centrist.'  The instincts of Kamala Harris were to give these types of people what they wanted, which is exactly how she ran her spectacularly failed 2020 presidential campaign.  She also reportedly went with Walz because she views him not only as a fellow traveler, but also as less of a future threat to her ambitions.  Not to delve too deeply into psychoanalysis, but Harris exudes Impostor Syndrome, so this very much tracks:

She picked Walz over the guy who would clearly balance out the ticket better, and who'd be more helpful in a must-win state, because she felt assured Walz would stay in his lane as someone not seeking to represent the future of the party. That's her role, you seeIncredibly, there's already some reported trouble in paradise, because the rollout was a bit tooWalz-centric for Harris' liking:

'Counterproductive showboating.' Tim may want to step carefully if he wants to avoid becoming the latest victim of Harris' infamously sky-high staff turnover rate.  But hey, at least he's not the pro-Israel Jew.  Relatedly, I'll leave you with this incredible moment on CNN leading up to the Walz rollout rally:

On this front, the future of the country -- especially on the Left -- is concerning:
