Democrats Know The Public Has No Interest In Joe Biden
Democrats are pulling out all the stops for November. That’s not really a surprise, they’re terrified of losing and seeing all the horrible things they’ve done to the country reversed. They, of course, see it differently – they are like the abusive spouse who thinks beating their loved one is for their own good. That explains the earnestness with which they attack everyone who dare point out their failings, and the desperation with which they scramble for money to maintain their grip on power. And like that abuser, they can’t even fathom the idea that others aren’t feeling the same way, about everything, which is reflected in how they beg for money.
They’ve tried everything you can think of, and will create new ways to separate morons from their cash because, well, the truth does them no favors. That’s why they’re running a “contest” for the chance to “win” the opportunity to meet people who are not Joe Biden.
Honestly, would you want to meet Joe Biden? Ok, would you want to meet him under circumstances where you couldn’t curse him out? That changes things a lot.
It would be interesting to gauge just how senile he is, how far the dementia has advanced. But this would be a controlled environment where is handlers would never allow that to happen. So, if the “prize” was simply to meet Joe, very few people would enter and no one would really want to win.
That’s why Democrats had to pile on George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Barack Obama.
That’s their “contest” right now – the chance to meet those people and Biden. I never thought the President of the United State would ever be an afterthought, especially amongst his own party, but here we are.
The only one in that group I’d be interested in meeting would be Obama. Not because I want to pal around with him – we smoked a few cigarettes together in 2006, when he was a Senator and I was press secretary for Montana Senator Conrad Burns. Over maybe 6-8 smokes that year we just BSed about whatever as we finished our poison outside the Dirksen Senate Office Building when he walked back from the Capitol building.
No, I don’t need to relive old times. I’d just get him to sign a few books so I could sell them. As the man he unleashed on us ruins the national economy, why not at least make my economy a little bit better?
As for the others, not so much.
I used to like George Clooney on ER. His acting style was casual, unflappable, someone who wasn’t going to let all the crap around him get to him…at least as much as possible. Then he started making movies and played the same character, always. Sometimes that character was under stress, sometimes they were in on the joke, but the br of all of them was the same.
That doesn’t mean he can’t act, it just means he doesn’t really have any range to speak of. There are just some actors who make a long career out of playing slight variations of themselves and George Clooney is one of those people. However, if you look at his career, the only really big successes are ER and the Oceans movies. Plus, he’s married to an anti-Semite, so double pass.
There are a lot of Julia Roberts movies I’ve enjoyed, just not in like 20 years. I’m sure she’s perfectly nice, but I’d have to spend some serious time having to explain who she is to my kids. Hell, I’d have to explain who Clooney is too. Obama they’d get just from the title.
Are these the people Democrats get excited about? Is it 2012 again? Or 2000?
They ran this “donate and you’re entered” contest for a couple of weeks, now they’ve “extended” it. Weird, right? On June 8th they sent 7 emails about their “midnight deadline” to enter, after having sent 5 emails about it the day before. Then, suddenly, they’ve extended the deadline?
Weirdly, the don’t say for how long they’ve extended it. It’s possible they’ll never publicly announce who “won” or show any pictures from this alleged meet-and-greet, or the whole thing is a scam. How would anyone know? I know the media used to check on Trump fundraising claims, they had reporters assigned to that beat. They don’t seem to have anyone doing anything other than deflecting for Joe Biden.
I’m sure by the time you read this there will be another half-dozen emails impressing upon the urgency of giving them money now, lest this wonderful opportunity pass me by. At least the Publisher’s Clearing House people notify their winners on live TV. Then again, they’re offering something people actually want.
