Karine Jean-Pierre Says Fox News Canceled Biden Super Bowl Interview, Then Makes Laughable Claim
Welp, this is a surprising development. After much anticipation from some and trepidation from others about whether feckless Joe Biden would sit down for a traditional Super Bowl interview, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday said Fox canceled the interview — not the White House.
Call me skeptical, at least for now, but every Democrat in America has undoubtedly been white-knuckling it over the probability that Biden would go Biden in front of a national audience–and only further heighten concerns over his fitness for office (he’s not even close). So, one would think the left, and Biden himself, would be thrilled by the notion of Fox, of all networks, pulling the plug on the interview. Not true.
Au contraire, according to KJP. The often-confused, usually-lying press secretary claimed Corn Pop’s pal has been looking forward to the interview. No, really:
The President was looking forward to an interview with Fox Soul to discuss the Super Bowl, the State of the Union, and critical issues impacting the everyday lives of Black Americans. We’ve been informed that Fox Corp has asked for the interview to be canceled.
OK, now I get it. You caught it, right? The Liar-in-Chief has been licking his chops over the prospect of lying to a large audience of black Americans. Ah, but there’s more.
Hang on. This just in.
Turns out Biden will sit for an interview with FOX Soul ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, after all. Fox confirmed the interview, after the White House initially said the network had canceled the interview altogether. Why those lying— never mind.
“After the White House reached out to FOX Soul Thursday evening, there was some initial confusion,” a Fox Corp. spokesperson said in a statement. “FOX Soul looks forward to interviewing the President for Super Bowl Sunday.”
FOX Soul describes itself thusly:
FOX SOUL is a new live and interactive streaming channel dedicated to the African American viewer. The programs aim to celebrate black culture and deal with real topics that impact the everyday lives of the black community through frank and insightful dialogue with local and national influencers.
Pandering Joe played it perfectly.
Fox had been waiting for an answer from Biden since Tuesday about whether he’d do the interview. And now, the White House pulls this stunt. Joey from Scranton will have his audience after all, and won’t be faced with questions from Fox News journalists while doing it.
