It's Not Biden's Classified Documents 'Discovery' That Matters, but His Unabashed Dishonesty

It's Not Biden's Classified Documents 'Discovery' That Matters, but His Unabashed Dishonesty

Now that a second batch of Biden classified documents has been “found” at a different location than the first batch, the stakes have risen considerably for the president who blasted former President Donald Trump after the discovery of classified documents during an FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence.

Before we continue with the Biden revelations, let’s take a short trip down memory lane, shall we?

During an interview with 60 Minutes following the FBI’s discovery of classified documents at Trump’s personal residence, hypocritical Joe Biden climbed atop his high horse and said he couldn’t understand “how anyone could be that irresponsible.”

How that could possibly happen, how one anyone could be that irresponsible. And I thought what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods.

Oopsie, Joey. Twice. No joke, Jack. Care to compare Trump’s transgressions with those of your own?

The questions that were tirelessly asked about documents found at Mar-a-Lago, and those found at two separate Biden locations, are the same:

How many documents were discovered? How and when did they get where they were found? What information exists in the documents and at what level of classification? Did Biden and/or his aides know that the documents had been taken? When was Biden told the documents were discovered? Why was the public not told the first batch was discovered before the midterm elections? How will the administration ensure that an investigation isn’t tainted, and is a plan in place to search for additional documents?

As noted Georgetown law professor and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley observed:

What is not known is whether some of this classified material was relevant to Biden’s book and his lectures on diplomacy, raising the possibility that he worked with the documents on computers or discussed them with third parties. In the meantime, they apparently sat in a closet, easy pickings for any intelligence service.

While the media continues to dismiss the influence peddling investigation as, in the words this weekend of NBC’s Chuck Todd, a “personal” attack, it is far more serious as a form of corruption due to an array of dangers from such access.

The millions given to Hunter Biden came from a variety of foreign sources, including some coming from figures tied to foreign intelligence. This money not only gained influence but access to the Bidens.

Turley also weighed in on the comparison between the Trump classified documents discovery, noting the differences already playing out.

Now Biden stands accused of the same underlying offense as Mar-a-Lago. While there have not been false statements or obstruction claims raised, it is unclear what allegations will emerge.

More importantly, the offense of unlawfully removing and storing classified information is the same. Yet, Garland again refused to appoint a special counsel and will keep the matter within the DOJ rank-and-file.

Biden can count on every possible consideration and accommodation from the media. The public is used to that. However, Garland will undermine both investigations by continuing to block the appointment of a special counsel into Biden and his family.

Professor Turley was spot on, of course, but this whole thing is just one more example of the blatant hypocrisy of the so-called “mainstream” media, the Trump-obsessed Democrat Party—and Biden, himself.

From Joe’s crackhead son Hunter’s multiple questionable dealings to well-founded accusations that “The Big Guy” was not only completely aware of his wayward son’s goings-on but, in fact, was in on all of them from the beginning — The Biden Family Business, as it were — one can only imagine the histrionics on the left if Trump and one of his sons would’ve been involved in one-tenth of those of the Biden family.

While, as has been the case with the Trump documents so far, little threat to the security of the United States is likely to be revealed with respect to the newly “discovered” Biden classified documents–the real “clear and present” danger to the U.S. is its deceptive president’s hypocrisy and lies.
