Democrats Push Incredibly Dangerous Response to Roe v. Wade Being Overturned
We are currently in the midst of the biggest left-wing breakdown since Donald Trump won the 2016 election, and to be honest, I think that was child’s play compared to what we are seeing now. The responses to a draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade being leaked have been absolutely hysterical and deranged.
As RedState reported earlier on Tuesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren had an emotional (and nearly physical) collapse on camera, screaming about how angry she is over the fact that fewer children might be killed in the womb. Elsewhere, liberals either appeared to call for revolution or outright did.
But if you bet on the dumbest, most vicious responses coming from the so-called “squad,” you can go to the window to collect your winnings. Rep. Cori Bush went on MSNBC with far-left host Andrea Mitchell to suggest something I can only describe as dangerous, and I’ll explain why below.
Clearly, Democrats do not actually care about protecting our system of governance or its norms and traditions. Rather, they gauge their “respect” for our system on whether it gives them what they want or not. When it doesn’t, they are willing to burn down anything to get their way.
The United States Supreme Court is a legitimate branch of government, with appointees placed there by presidents and senators duly elected by the people. Bush doesn’t care, though. She wants to pack the Supreme Court (which is the stuff of dictatorships), but perhaps worse, she wants to violate the Constitution by “codifying” Roe into “law,” while forcing pro-life Americans to pay for abortions as some kind of sick revenge ploy.
What kind of deranged, evil person even suggests such a thing? To force Americans to do something that violates their very being?
I don’t say this lightly, but that kind of thing is dangerous. In no way am I calling for any internal conflict in the United States. Quite the opposite, as I’m the one currently telling all the triggered libs that their calls for revolution are asinine and short-sighted. But even still, doing something as openly hostile and damaging as what Bush suggests would push the nation to a point of division where violence could break out. I say that not to promote the idea, but to say that everyone needs to take a step back and stop the escalation.
The “right to abortion” was invented out of thin air by the Supreme Court. There is no question the Supreme Court has the authority to reverse it. Such a decision does not justify blowing up the filibuster, packing the court, and exacting harmful vengeance on pro-life Americans. We either live in a Constitutional republic or we don’t. Bush and the rest of her party do not get to pick and chose when to uphold it. This lunacy needs to stop.
