Elon Musk responds to the “exterme”reaction over his purchase of Twitter

Elon Musk responds to the “extreme” reaction over his purchase of Twitter

Elon Musk responded today to the “extreme” leftist outrage over his purchase of Twitter and his promise to protect free speech.

Musk wrote “The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all”:

He followed that up with a clarification on what he means by ‘free speech’, saying “By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.”

He shouldn’t have to offer up this clarification. But with boneheaded liars like Brian Stelter claiming there would be no rules at this new Twitter ‘party’ under Musk, he probably felt the need to make it clear.

I must say I love how he calls this ‘extreme antibody response’, because the media acts like ‘antibodies’ to seek out and destroy anything they think shouldn’t exist. And they’ve been using Twitter to do it and now that comes to a screeching halt. At least we hope that’s the case.

I’m still monitoring the accounts of President Trump and MTG to see when they will be reinstated. I know it’s early, but they are still suspended. Whether Trump decides to come back or not, his account should not be suspended. Hopefully Musk remedies this soon.

UPDATE: I’m just going to put this here because it totally relates:

Twitter's top lawyer Vijaya Gadde, who has shepherded the platform through some of its most contentious political battles, cried at a virtual meeting as she expressed concerns about what Elon Musk's leadership could mean for the company.
