Closer Look at 'Cringe' Kamala Harris Video From France Is Just Embarrassing

Sister Toldjah reporting for RedState

Though we’ve said it many times before here, it really goes without saying that Vice President Kamala Harris is just really, really bad at what she does, something even her own office seems to understand.

There are too many examples of this to document in one post, but the most recent one that has surfaced is of Harris on her trip to Europe, specifically during a stop in Paris.

As my RedState colleague, Jennifer Oliver O’Connell reported Tuesday, it was failure theater galore at the Institut Pasteur, where Harris told a gaggle of reporters that it would be awesome if politics were more like science, where according to her ideas were proposed, tested, and worked out wherever issues were found and “no one gets beat up about it.”

It was an odd comment for Harris to make, considering she “beat up” on her boss (Joe Biden) repeatedly as a presidential candidate for having different viewpoints on certain issues. It was also an especially odd remark to make considering the politicization of science that has happened over the last 18 months as a result of dictatorial Democratic politicians and their lapdog media partners taking full advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to advance their radical agendas and crush anyone who dares question them.

But back to the Paris visit, one video clip, in particular, that is making the rounds on social media is the one below, which shows Harris putting on a maximum cringe performance, and when I say “cringe” I mean it in the literal sense of the word. A portion of this clip was in Jennifer’s piece, but this is a more close up view where you can see the gestures and animated facial expressions and better hear the child-like tone she uses towards the scientists in the room:

The video reminded me a lot of the scripted and staged “space” videos she did, except in those clips she’s talking to actual children and not grown-ups who probably have years and years of schooling and higher education under their belt and who likely (and rightly) believe – unlike her – that science and politics should not intertwine with each other in any way.

Watching the video and the feeling of “cringe” I felt when seeing it brought me to the words of wokedom that flowed from “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel last night about the supposed “real” reasons people just don’t like Kamala Harris. For those who missed it, here’s what he said:

“I think I know why Kamala’s ratings are low, besides sexism and racism, which are the obvious ones. It’s because whenever she’s next to Joe Biden, standing near or behind him, she looks like an assassin,” Kimmel said, appearing serious when mentioning sexism and racism.

It was a fascinating (not to mention insulting) claim to make when one considers that Harris fell flat in her own Democratic presidential primary campaign precisely because key Democratic voting blocs including women and black Americans did not cotton to Harris at all, especially after the way she sideswiped Biden in that infamous first debate over the busing issue (a moment that was also staged, shockingly enough).

To repeat again for those who, like me, reside in the cheap seats and who have a constantly replenished stash of popcorn on hand just for occasions like these, the reason most people – of all stripes – don’t like Kamala Harris is because she is not. good. at what. she does. It’s that simple.

But in fairness to Kimmel, I get that he doesn’t understand that simple concept because like Harris, Kimmel is also not very good at what he does. Like at all.
