Questions About Joe Biden's Health Go Mainstream
Going back to the 2020 presidential campaign, right-leaning media has been well ahead of the curve in asking serious questions about President Joe Biden’s mental health. As his presidential term has aged, things have only gotten worse, with numerous scenes of confusion and anger taking place.
Just days ago, the president appeared to forget where he was, having to be saved by his wife (see Jill Biden Steps in to Save a Confused, Meandering Joe Biden). Other examples include Biden seemingly unable to control his anger at times, including with the families of slain soldiers. Past that, odd word salads and bumbling speeches have become what feels like a near-daily occurrence.
Despite that, the mainstream press has largely deemed analysis of Biden’s decreasing mental state as off-limits. That changed today, though. The Wall Street Journal went public with their concerns, noting that what we are seeing is just not normal. Their breaking point was Biden’s latest CNN town hall.
We take no pleasure in pointing this out, since the U.S. needs a President who can handle the the strains of the job. Mr. Biden was never Demosthenes, and all Presidents stumble in speech. But Mr. Biden’s frequent public confusion about the major issues of the day is a reason for growing public concern.
Welcome to the party, guys. RedState has been chronicling the obvious mental decline of Joe Biden well before he assumed office, and at times dealing with great pushback from supposed “fact-checkers” looking to explain everything away. To see a major newspaper finally get on board is nice, but it’s also annoying, in that it should have happened long ago.
It’s been clear for a long time that Biden is not well. The confusion that the Journal points out happens in essentially every public appearance. The president has no grasp of the issues when he’s not on the teleprompter, and even then, it’s difficult for him to make any distinctive point without tripping over himself. Call it dementia, senility, or something else, but we have a president who is not up for the job he holds.
Unfortunately, there are no good options. Even if Biden were to resign, a fully conscious Kamala Harris taking over is likely still a worse option. Thus, the country is left addled and leader-less. Those that chose to vote for Biden when these issues were apparent before the election are getting what they paid for.
