Bill Maher Nukes COVID Pandemic Pushers With Truth Bomb
If we know anything about the Democrat Party and its liberal media sock puppets, it is this: Liberals will beat to death any news — real, overblown, or concocted — that it believes it can exploit the ever-loving hell out of, solely for political expediency and for a variety of nefarious reasons, which we’ll get to in a bit.
One such “news” item is the never-ending COVID “pandemic” and the restrictions foisted on America by Democrats and their useful idiots, principally vaccine and mask mandates, in the wake of even more draconian lockdowns. To call the continuing effort laughable would be an understatement.
One guy who doesn’t think the pandemic obsession is funny makes a living making people laugh, HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher, who on Friday’s episode railed against continuing COVID restrictions, declaring: “It’s time to admit the pandemic is over.”
Maher continued:
“Just resume living. I know some people seem to not want to give up on the wonderful pandemic, but you know what? It’s over.
There’s always going to be a variant. You shouldn’t have to wear masks.
I should be to … I haven’t had a meeting with my staff since March of 2020. Why?”
Why? Because these people are insane. Scratch that. They know exactly what they’re doing, which as a life-long liberal, Maher should know: it’s all about the left’s unquenchable thirst for power and control.
Maher then pointed to recent reality:
“We have to get back to life. I mean, you might look at the sporting events that are … all three sports are playing now including basketball, which is inside. Nobody seems to be having super-spreader events. I mean, you know, it was great. It was so much fun having a pandemic but, you know, buh-bye.”
The “Real Time” host even slammed Democrats with a recent poll:
“Forty-one percent” of Dems believe unvaccinated people have “over 50%” risk of hospitalization when it’s actually “0.89%,” adding that it’s “0.01%” for vaccinated people.”
Oops, loons. Then again, facts are irrelevant to the left.
The late-September Gallup poll Maher referenced showed the majority of Americans are pretty much clueless about COVID risks, be they vaccinated or unvaccinated, as reported by PJ Media:
The poll, involving 3,158 adult Americans, tells us that 41% of Democrats believe the unvaccinated have a 50% chance of being hospitalized because of COVID. Independents believe the correct number is 26%, while Republicans came in at 22%. The correct answer: Fewer than 1% of unvaccinated people infected with COVID will have to go to the hospital.
The hospitalization rate for both vaccinated and unvaccinated COVID patients is under 1%. The hospitalization rate for vaccinated COVID patients is 0.01%, or 1 out of every 10,914 patients, while the hospitalization rate for unvaccinated COVID patients is 0.89%, or 1 out of 112 patients.
Maher then zeroed in on one of his guests, Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) since “it’s the Democrats” who keep enforcing COVID restrictions. “I travel in every state now, back on the road, and the red states are a joy and the blue states are a pain in the a–. For no reason,” Maher said.
Coons dutifully defended his fellow Democrat in the White House, as transcribed by Fox News. (Emphasis, mine.)
“One of the critical things that’s being discussed right now by President Biden, one of the things we have to recommit ourselves to, is supporting vaccination around the rest of the world.
There’s still a lot of countries that are very, very minimally vaccinated because if a variant develops out in the world that is able to defeat the vaccine, we are all the way back to the beginning.
So in the United States, in most of the western world, we’re ready to be done with this, but we’re not done until the world is safe and we’re not safe as a world until the world’s vaccinated.”
Translation: As the Democrats see it, we will never be “done” with the COVID “pandemic.” That, my friends, is a harbinger of COVID crap to come from Biden and Democrats.
Maher returned fired in response to Coons:
“Except the world recognizes natural immunity. We don’t. Because everything in this country has to go through the pharmaceutical companies. Natural immunity is the best kind of immunity. We shouldn’t fire people who have natural immunity because they don’t get the vaccine. We should hire them.”
Remember when Anthony Fauci used to talk about herd immunity — then abruptly stopped? Me, too.
We are officially at the “Bob Barker” phase of the pandemic. All over the world people are dying to get this vaccine, but here they’ve gotta give you a jet ski first.

To Maher’s entire point, the insanity continues:
WOW: UCLA Healthcare worker who worked the last 2 years through the pandemic was fired and escorted off the property for not having a vaccine.

Finally, Maher also took a shot at people we’ve all seen — walking along the street alone or alone in a car:
The mysterious always-maskers.
“It’s an amulet, you know? A charm people wear around the neck that wards away evil spirits. It means nothing. I mean, can’t we get people to understand the facts more?”
Not to nitpick, Bill, but as I suggested earlier, it is precisely “your people” — liberals — to whom facts, data, history, logic, and common sense are irrelevant when “none of the above” support the left’s myriad of narratives. On the contrary, “all the above” are to be dismissed out of hand when they fly in the face of the left’s preconceived or desired notions.
Incidentally, a recent commenter on a different RedState article about Bill Maher suggested “RedState is foolish to pay attention to [anything Maher] has to say.” Why so? Simply because Maher is Maher?
Who doesn’t know exactly who and what Bill Maher is?
That said, it’s my belief that anytime we can use the words of the left to slam the left, it’s anything but “foolish.”
