Biden Admin Temporarily Barred From Firing Employees Seeks Vax Exemptions After DC Judge Issues Order
District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has issued a minute order requesting that the Biden administration agree that “both civilian and active-duty military plaintiffs will not be terminated while they await a ruling after they sued the administration over religious exemptions to COVID-19 vaccines,” Fox News reported.
“None of the civilian employee plaintiffs will be subject to discipline while his or her request for a religious exception is pending,” read a minute order from Kollar-Kotelly.
Fox News reported:
The court further ordered the defendants in the Biden administration to file a supplemental notice by noon on Friday that indicates whether they will agree that no plaintiff will be disciplined or terminated pending the court’s ruling.
Twenty plaintiffs sued President Biden and members of his administration in their official capacity over the president’s Sept. 9 executive order mandating vaccines for federal employees, according to a civil action filed Sunday.
“The Biden administration has shown an unprecedented, cavalier attitude toward the rule of law and an utter ineptitude at basic constitutional contours,” said the plaintiffs’ attorney Michael Yoder in a statement to Fox News.
“This combination is dangerous to American liberty,” Yoder continued. “Thankfully, our Constitution protects and secures the right to remain free from religious persecution and coercion. With this order, we are one step closer to putting the Biden administration back in its place by limiting government to its enumerated powers. It’s time citizens and courts said no to tyranny. The Constitution does not need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread.”
Earlier this week, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a temporary restraining order to shut down Biden’s tyrannical vaccine mandates.
In a statement, Brnovich said he wants to delay any implementation of Biden’s vaccine mandate while a lawsuit filed in September makes its way through the legal system.
“Once a vaccine has been administered, it can never be undone. The COVID-19 vaccine mandate is one of the greatest infringements upon individual liberty, federalism, and the separation of powers by any administration in our country’s history,” Brnovich said.
“I think it’s really important in times of crisis that we protect the Constitution and be even more vigilant when it comes to protecting our rights,” Brnovich said.
“The bottom line is this, whether you want to get the vaccine should be your choice. The federal government should never ever tell anyone what they have to put into their bodies, and we want to make sure that no president, now or in the future, ever has that unfettered discretion to tell you what to do,” he added.
Last week, Florida GOP Attorney General Ashley Moody hit back at Biden and his vaccine mandates.
Moody said that the vaccine mandates will “not be tolerated” and that he will take on Biden.
Florida Republican Gov. DeSantis, Moody, Florida’s Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, and others announced they are calling for a special session to legislate protections for Floridians against vaccine mandates imposed by localities, businesses, and the federal government.
“You know right as we speak, there are folks across this nation and in Florida that are being forced to upload papers to a database to show that they have been vaccinated,” the attorney general said.
“Think about it. We are in the United States of America, the free states of America, and we have folks having to upload documentation into databases because of the mandates of this federal government. It will not be tolerated in Florida or accepted,” she said
“And so we will continue to push back in court,” she said.
Last week, DeSantis announced that he had called the legislature back for a special session to address the vaccine mandates and protect Florida workers.
