When your wax figurine looks more lifelike than you
Have you seen the Great Unveiling of the wax figurine Biden?
The Grevin Wax Museum in Paris unveiled wax figurine Joe to great fanfare yesterday.
And I couldn’t help but notice that the wax figurine looks less like a wax figurine than his real-life counterpart.
I mean look at that guy. Does that look like a guy who would break his foot while running naked after his dog?
Does that look like a guy who can’t navigate the steps to Air Force One without tripping three times?
Does that look like a guy who gets lost on his way to a point?
Joe Biden could only dream of looking that vigorous and lifelike.
You’d think if they really wanted it to look like Joe, they’d have played up the whole sallow, waxy feel of the living version. I mean they’re already working with the perfect medium.
And don’t tell me they couldn’t have captured Joe’s vacant, unfocused eyes. If taxidermists can do it why can’t they?
I get it. Wax museums want their figures to appear lifelike. But “lifelike” is never an adjective one would use in describing Joe Biden. Grevin Wax Museum should’ve skipped the makeup they used to make wax figurine Joe’s skin look human and just left the wax untouched. Believe me, it would’ve looked way more like Joe than it does now.
