Flip-Flop Fauci
Old Flip-Flop Fauci is at it again.
Last year when President Trump suggested COVID originated in a lab in Wuhan China, Dr. Anthony Fauci, in the words of CNN’s Chris Cillizza, “crushed” Trump’s theory.
Cillizza gleefully celebrated Fauci for putting stupid old liar Trump in his place.
Fauci, you see, was “definitive about the origins of the virus,” wrote Cillizza.
Definitive. As in “serving to provide a final solution or to end a situation.”
In an interview with National Geographic last year, Dr. Definitive declared that the scientific evidence is “very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated.”
Very, very strongly leaning.
Not just one adverb, but three. That tells you Fauci really, really, really means it.
Well, that was then.
This is now.
And now, Dr. Flip-Flop Fauci is warbling a different tune.
This past week, Dr. Flippity-floppity said he is “not convinced” COVID developed naturally.
During a “fact-checking” event called “United Facts of America: A Festival of Fact-Checking” (stop and marvel at that irony), PolitiFact’s Katie Sanders asked Flip-Flop Fauci if he is still confident that the virus developed naturally.
“No actually,” said the once “very, very strongly” definitive, now not-so-definitive Flip-Flop Fauci, “I am not convinced about that, I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened.”
But, but, but HE CRUSHED TRUMP’S THEORY!!! He was so DEFINITIVE!!!
Seriously. This guy flip-flops so much he should be put on the US Men’s Gymnastics Team.
“Certainly, the people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals,” Flip-Flop Fauci continued, “But it could have been something else, and we need to find that out [very, very strongly!!!]. So, you know, that’s the reason why I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus.”
Let’s be honest. Nothing this man has ever said could even remotely be described as definitive, let alone “very, very strongly” definitive. He has changed his opinions more frequently than most people change their socks.
I’ve been saying all along that Dr. Definitive Flip-Flop Fauci was nothing but the media’s useful idiot – exploited to attack Trump and sow suspicion and distrust in his Administration’s Wuhan Virus response in order to stop Trump’s reelection. So much as they did with Cuomo, the media built up this man and turned him into the Ron Jeremy of Wuhan Panic Porn.
And like any vainglorious autocrat with a hunger for stardom, Flip-Flop Fauci gobbled up the attention like a half-starved man.
We now know that what President Trump was saying a year ago is far more credible than Fauci or CNN’s Chris Cillizza wanted us to believe.
In other words, as is often the case, Donald Trump was right all along.
At this point, with the evidence that COVID escaped from a lab becoming well established, Flip-Flop Fauci would look a fool if he continued to claim that COVID “could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated.” Worse still, he’d lose that attention that’s been feeding his ego for the last fourteen months.
So, to keep the media hits coming, he flip-flops.
He alters his views, not based on “new evidence,” but based entirely on his own vainglorious desire to keep the fame train running.
And if he ever gets called out on it, Fauci will simply deny that he flip-flopped. It’s what he always does.
It will never not be infuriating that so many gullible idiots in this country fell for Fauci’s snake oil shtick.
