Knee-Jerk News Media keeps getting it wrong

Now you understand why I said the news media should be deemed non-essential and shut down for the duration of this pandemic? They just keep getting things wrong.

It was less than two weeks ago the knee-jerk news media and Democrat politicians were excoriating President Trump for daring to mention the promising results in treating Wuhan virus patients using hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin.

Remember that gormless tit Ted Lieu flapping his hysterical maw about the dangers?

The news media accused President Trump of being a snake oil peddler – promising “unsubstantiated hope” and phony cures.

Trump says something, and the knee-jerk response is to try and “debunk” it.

Happens every single time.

And eventually, after the knee-jerk news media initially pops off, it turns out Trump was right and the knee-jerk jerks were wrong.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last three years, it’s that Trump always ends up being proven right.  Always.

No matter what he says, the knee-jerk news media burps out the same response: “Trump claims, without evidence, that fill-in-the-blank.”

They do it every time.  And like clockwork, after the initial pile-on, whatever it was Trump claimed turns out to be correct.

Remember back in March 2017 when Trump first tweeted that the Obama Administration was spying on the Trump campaign? The media’s knee-jerk response was “Trump claims, without evidence, that Obama spied on campaign” (Trump, as we now know, was right and these assholes were wrong).

So it’s hardly surprising that the knee-jerk news media responded to President Trump citing the promising results of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin with the same misguided reaction.

It’s just how these assholes are.

But it wasn’t just them.

Just last week the hapless Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s knee-jerk response was to prohibit the use of these medications in her state – even going so far as to urge doctors to report any of their colleagues who would dare to defy her.

And here we are a week later and that same hapless governor is requesting that shipments of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine be delivered to her state.
Why?

Because Trump was right.  And the knee-jerk news media that crapped all over this drug treatment were wrong.

So much for peddling false hope and snake oil cures.

As Jesse Kelly likes to remind us, “nothing you see is real.”

The knee-jerk news media just keeps getting it wrong.

Fortunately for them, there are plenty of Democrat politicians who happily swallow the lies they are peddling.

One day before the FDA officially approved the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat Wuhan virus, that dummy Lieu was still prattling on like a dope.

Ted isn’t a doctor.  He just reads the knee-jerk news media.  Plus he suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome, so if Trump is for it, why, he’s again’ it!

But that’s not the only WuFlu-related misfire from the knee-jerk news media.

Back in early February, Senator Tom Cotton, who doesn’t believe a word coming from the ChiComs, suggested that, given the fact that Wuhan is where China’s disease research facilities are located, we can’t rule out the possibility that these facilities were the source of this new strain.

And the knee-jerk news media flew into hysterical rage – claiming it was “conspiracy theory.”

On February 16th, The Washington Post attacked Cotton for “repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory that was debunked.”

“Debunked” is their new “without evidence.”

Now, flash forward to yesterday.

The same “expert” the WaPo said “debunked” Cotton’s claim in their February 16th article is now saying we can’t rule out the possibility that this latest coronavirus was leaked into the population from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In other words, it wasn’t a “debunked conspiracy theory,” and Tom Cotton had a point.

And you know who is now reporting that this Wuhan virus might have escaped a Wuhan lab?  Why, the same Washington Post that attacked Tom Cotton on February sixteenth.

Knee-jerk news media

@AGHamilton29 did a great thread last night recounting the media pile-on over Tom Cotton’s remarks.  Read the entire thread HERE.  But be prepared; it makes for infuriating reading.

Now do you understand why I said the news media should be deemed non-essential and shut down for the duration of this pandemic?

Their loathing of President Trump and Republicans in general has so eroded their ability to report the news objectively that they’re causing more harm than good — and at the worst possible time for our country.
