FauxBama Buttigieg, the Plagiarist
Maybe if you want people to see you as the white version of Obama, don’t be so damn obvious about it, you little weasel.
I happened across a video on Twitter this morning of side-by-side speeches from Barack Obama and Pete Buttigieg. And whoo-boy. Looks like Pete’s a plagiarist.
This is worse than the side-by-size video of Elizabeth Warren giving the exact same spin-room answer to two different reporters. Because at least Liz was stealing from herself.

But Pete the Plagiarist if flat-out lifting sections of Obama’s campaign speeches and using them for himself.
And not just the words. Pete is mimicking Obama’s cadence and style as well.
Look, I give Old Suck-Up Joe Biden a lot of grief for his endless stream of “my good friend Barack.” But at least Biden isn’t a plagiarist (well, not this time anyway). He isn’t trying to sound and act like Obama.
But this?
Maybe if you want people to see you as the white version of Obama, don’t be so damn obvious about it, you little weasel.
“FauxBama.” I like that. That’s almost as clever as Fauxcahontas.
At least Pete the Plagiarist has the good sense not to crib from losing candidates like Elizabeth Warren does.
How many hours of Obama campaign videos do you reckon FauxBama Buttigieg has watched in the last month? I’m guessing he binge-watches them the way most people binge-watch Netflix.
I can just see Pete and his husband Clarence or Clive (or whatever the hell his name is), curled up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn watching hour after hour of YouTube videos from 2008.
“Oh, honey, do you think I could pull that off?! What about the black preacher voice? You think I could get away with that?”
See, this is the problem when folks who have zero substance and authenticity run for President.
Pete the Plagiarist is so over-produced, he’s like the Britney Spears of politics.
This guy rubbed me the wrong way from day one. Such a complete fabrication. I don’t know how anybody can be fooled by him.
And not just because he sounds like a platitude-spewing Cyborg.
“Run Obama Speech #327. Working ….Retrieving data ….Please wait …Activate voice mode”
Remember the howling and outrage back in 2016 when Melania Trump was accused of copying Michelle Obama in her convention speech?
Sure you do!
It was front page news. CNN even provided side-by-side video of the two women giving their speeches.
I pointed out at the time that placing side-by-side images of Melania Trump and Michelle Obama was going to backfire on these guys in a big, BIG way.
See what I mean?
Yeah. They didn’t think that through.
But the supposed “plagiarized parts” of Melania’s speech were the same boiler-plate things that every wife of the nominee says (including Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton).
Melania wasn’t a plagiarist. But FauxBama Buttigieg? Yeah. Lifting Obama’s words, mannerisms and cadences, then regurgitating them in their entirety is flat-out plagiarism.
But I’ll bet you ten bucks that CNN won’t be flogging the FauxBama plagiarism the way they did MelaniaGate.
In fact, I doubt they’ll mention it at all.
And if anyone does, I’m guessing the headline will read something like this:
“Republicans pounce on Buttigieg speech — claiming, without evidence, Mayor Pete plagiarized Obama.”
