Tulsi Gabbard on Tucker: ‘I Stand Against Everything’ Hillary Represents
It’s a fight!
On Friday night, Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard stopped by to talk to Tucker Carlson on his ever-popular Fox show.
Tulsi had a lot to say — about everyone’s favorite 2016 apologist, Hillary Rodham You-Know-Who.
Though Republicans reportedly reign supreme in the crazy-conspiracy-theorist realm, Hillary’s clearly been (Alex) Jonesing for the throne.
Reasons for her electoral defeat have included Russia, racism, and — as I covered recently — 10-year-old children (here).
And amid a flurry of what some may call derangement, a snide snowflake has fallen: Clinton’s castigation of Tulsi as a “Russian asset.”
On former Obama advisor David Plouffe’s podcast earlier this week, the former First Lady said, “She’s the favorite of the Russians.”
Hillary claimed those Russians have a dadgum “bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”
Tulsi hasn’t been a fan of such:
While talking to Tucker, the candidate characterized Hillary’s opposition to her as — necessarily — also being against “every veteran in this country, every service member, every American, anyone watching at home fighting for peace and who was calling for an end to these regime change wars.”
When asked by Tucker why Hillary’s targeting her, Tulsi called out the erstwhile governor’s wife and told her, essentially, to step off:
“Ultimately she knows she can’t control me. I stand against everything that she represents and if I’m elected president. If I’m the Democratic nominee and elected president, she will not be able to control me. She won’t be able to manipulate me. She won’t be able to continue to work from behind the curtains, to continue these regime change wars that have been so costly.”
She’s certainly nodded to a blindingly obvious double standard, easily seen in light of the recent George W. Bush/Ellen hubbub (here). In the aftermath of Ellen and George yukkin’ it up, select public voices cried foul on social media, asserting Bush should be tried for war crimes. But the War in Afghanistan was greenlighted by the only branch that can do so, and it ain’t the Executive. Congress voted on war, and those “Yeas” included Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Harry Reid, and that great celebrity-endorsed paragon, Mrs. Bill Clinton herself.
Back to Tulsi on Tucker, the 2020 hopeful said the blood of her “brothers and sisters in uniform” who lost their lives in Iraq — in a “war she championed” — is “on her hands.”
Here’s a mouthful:
“[She’s attacking me] because I am standing up and speaking out strongly against the Hillary Clinton legacy, the warmongering legacy of waging these regime change wars, continuing to escalate these tensions between the United States, nuclear armed countries like Russia, China, this nuclear arms race bringing more profits to the military-industrial complex.”
In the words of Taylor Swift, we’ve got some bad blood.
