Will anyone who opposes Trump's "trade war" with China defend Chinese trade practices?
The reporting on and the opposition to Trump's "trade war" with China is one of the most obvious examples of TDS in existence. The clamor is endless. Trump is a protectionist! Trump is unreasonable! Trump does not know what he's doing! Trump is putting the American economy at risk!
Trump this, Trump that. It never stops.
Those not infected by TDS look instead at China. It irrefutably has the most drachonian, nationalist, protectionist trade policy in the world - and it's not even close. They literally require majority ownership in the company if you want to move there and require you to give them any and all proprietary technology. Their markets are massively protected from import competition.
None of this is ever the focus. It's just Trump this Trump that.
I challenge anyone and everyone who opposes Trump's "trade war" to defend Chinese trade policy. By clamoring against Trump you are defending the status quo. So, stop making it personal and actually defend the stauts quo.
