A Fate Worse Than Impeachment?
What has been outlined in the post-election series recently is the basic plan Democrats/Leftists intend to use to attack the office of the president. SEE HERE and SEE HERE – This post gives more specifics.
Congress is not planning to impeach President Trump directly. As noted in the broad outline recently leaked to Fox News, there has been some planning around how to use congressional committees to attack the office of President Trump. However, what has not been discussed is the purpose for their approach, which is not impeachment.
Congress is planning to take apart the policy agenda of President Trump through a series of legislative constructs, laws, that will target presidential authority and unwind some of the important policies put into place. An example is presidential tariff authority. However, before congress starts voting on each package, they first want to isolate President Trump from any allied votes he may carry in the House and Senate. Their approach is devious.
We all know that President Trump would veto any law congress passed that would take apart his economic and foreign policy doctrine, ‘economic security is national security.’ Therefore, what they are planning is to put the isolation part into place first; this, they believe, will make it easier to assemble a ‘veto-proof‘ majority in both chambers.
Congress can override a presidential veto with a two-thirds majority, or 290 votes in the House and 67 votes in the Senate given all members are voting. As of now, Democrats have captured 253 House seats and 54 Senate seats. Their goal is to begin getting to those 290/67 numbers by making it very uncomfortable to support President Trump.
I want you to listen to this exchange below between Peter Robinson and Victor Davis Hanson. Now VDH is an ally to MAGA and an advocate for what President Trump has been doing. VDH is also a personal friend to Devin Nunes who resigned from the Trump media network, in part, due to what VDH notes in his remarks.
This is uncomfortable to watch, but generally speaking what VDH says is exactly what the 2027 congressional committee approach intends to do. WATCH:
The financial networks, business interests and potential selling of influence by people in/around the White House, including Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and Steve Witkoff. The congressional investigative committees will be focused on the financial networks and appearance of pay-to-play that swirls around many of the people in the Trump administration.
Other examples will include the former Ambassador to Greece and former girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, as well as Corey Lewandowski.
This type of concern is where an attack vector was created when President Trump moved Susie Wiles from the campaign aspect into her role as Chief of staff. Wiles came out of the lobbying and political consulting sector of politics; she was comfortable with people giving money for access, and or how donors contributed to the campaign with an expectation of benefit. However, once the administration took office all of those enmeshed financial relationships should have shifted quickly. By appearances, they did not.
Regardless of whether there is unlawful conduct or not, the committees will be focused on corruption, and the appearance of corruption, by all of the administration officials – with an emphasis on the immediate Trump family.
Unfortunately, as noted by VDH in the video above, there is some ‘there’ there, at least from a surface review.
These investigations, in both the House and Senate, will follow the successful roadmap of the J6 committee investigation, where subpoenas will be issued, testimony demanded and broadcasts for public television will be scripted for maximum damage to the President. They plan to build enough momentum, all of it strategically timed and orchestrated, to flow as legislation is created to dismantle President Trump’s agenda.
This is going to be difficult for the White House to combat politically, and keep in mind Lawfare is not designed for court – it is designed to influence public opinion and ultimately political opinion. If they can make the corruption allegations toxic enough, Republicans will be hesitant to vote supporting a presidential veto.
Again, they are not looking to impeach President Trump, they are looking to smear him politically and create votes from Republicans to support their legislative dismantling of the Trump policy agenda. This is why we cannot just rely on the “but Trump will veto it” perspective. Everything these leftists are doing is designed to overcome that veto defense.
Simultaneously, congress will be creating a regulatory framework that targets companies and corporations who support(ed) President Trump, like Elon Musk, SpaceX and the various tech industries like Tesla, Apple, Amazon, OpenAI, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Oracle. {SEE HERE}
Additionally, the power of the purse is going to be legislated to defund anything that cannot be directly regulated or modified by law. The House will defund various agencies like ICE, DHS, CBP and more. They have an army of legislative lawfare operatives who have organized legislation already; the timing is based on the committee investigations and the marginalization effort.
Having watched quietly in the background, I can tell you these well-funded ideologues do have a solid attack plan and a solid -albeit horrific- strategy. The countermoves are going to be critical, and much of it will rely on public opinion, which, as you know, can be a potential problem because the headlines will be fueled by the investigations.
The last point on this outline is personal. As you are aware immediately following the 2020 rigged election theft, this website was targeted and deplatformed. Five months later, right after we fought through the challenges, I was hit by a congressional J6 subpoena intended only to financially break us. The subpoena failed, because it was built on fraud.
We rebuilt the website and hardened the defenses, but I fully anticipate they are going to come at me again because I am going to work earnestly to counter any false investigative narratives these insufferable Lawfare operatives put forth.
It is going to take some outside the box thinking for President Trump to defeat this effort, and somewhere in the middle of this the 2028 presidential campaign season is going to start; which becomes another factor in the timing of those who oppose any republican campaign effort for 2028.
One of the more radical ideas I have put forth is for President Trump to instruct AG Todd Blanche to appoint a special counsel to investigate Trump for corruption. I know that sounds weird, but if a special counsel was appointed congressional investigative committees would not be able to call specific witnesses lest they be interfering with an ongoing special counsel investigation. As least a witness would have a justified reason for not appearing. It’s radical, but worth gaming it out.
This is going to get really ugly.
