These Two So Deserve Each Other: Pelosi and Wiener's Ugly Succession War Explodes

California has really been putting forth some “special” politicians in the 21st century. 

Let’s see, we’ve got Democrat Sen. Adam “Conspiracy!” Schiff, who was censured by the House for his dishonesty in 2023, you’ve got pervy former Rep. Eric Swalwell, who had to flee from his gubernatorial campaign in April due to lurid sex allegations, you’ve got former vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who can’t form a coherent sentence and just inadvertently became the best spokesperson for the SAVE America Act that we’ve seen yet… The list goes on.

Certainly not to be forgotten, however, are two of the most toxic of all: “Speaker Emerita” Nancy Pelosi (CA-11), who is so lacking in class that she ripped up the sitting president’s State of the Union speech on the House floor moments after he delivered it, and gender-obsessed State Senator Scott Wiener (11), whose most recent contribution to society was to lead the effort to block portions of a bill that would have prevented convicted sex felons from running for office.

These two are real sweethearts, aren’t they?

Now she’s retiring, and he wants her seat — but she’s backed his rival, San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan. Wiener and Pelosi have never been close; she reportedly thought he had been running a shadow campaign for years and even announced his run before she had said she would be retiring. 

Their spat has suddenly become public, and ugly:

Nancy Pelosi is unleashing her political machine to block one of California’s most prominent state lawmakers from replacing her in Congress, bringing an increasingly bitter feud to a head inside San Francisco’s Democratic establishment.

The latest clash erupted after Pelosi and her allies publicly blasted Scott Wiener’s campaign last week over an AI-powered chatbot imitating her preferred successor, San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan, calling the bot “sexist” and a source of “harmful racial tropes that echo Trump birtherism.”

The catfight is over ConnieChan.ai, an artificial intelligence-driven chatbot that Wiener’s office made which answered questions in Chan’s voice (or her AI voice, anyway). “I’m Connie, the world’s first AI trained to say ‘no’ to anything you ask,” the site says.

Although the Democrats cannot tell you what a woman is and have sold their human rights down the river with their enthusiasm for men playing in their sports, Pelosi had a predictable response: Sexissssssssm!

“Using AI to fabricate a woman’s voice for ridicule or attack is a gross misuse of technology and reflects a disturbing willingness to erase women’s agency and reinforce the sexist tropes that have long been used to undermine women in public life.”

That’s from a statement she posted Thursday with the approval of eight other female Democrats. There's more — plenty more:

Pelosi made sure to throw in a racism accusation as well:

When the target is a woman of color, those harms compound with racial stereotypes that have historically been used to question women’s credibility, leadership, and belonging.

As disturbing as Scott Wiener is, I almost feel sorry for him to have to listen to this hysterical tantrum. Almost.

It's been a rough summer for the extremist LGBTQ activist:

Wiener has taken down the chatbot and issued all the usual meaningless-sounding political apologies, so Pelosi and Chan appear to have won this round. I actually think the former House Speaker is right that we’re going down a slippery slope by using AI to put words in politicians’ mouths, but her attempt to tie Wiener of all people to Trump — who he shares absolutely nothing in common with — is just pathetic.

These two more than deserve each other, and I’m fervently hoping to see more toxic battles break out between them in the future.
