An Open Letter to America's Far Left
America's far left has gone bat-guano crazy.
Now that I'm done belaboring the obvious with that comment: A quick look at coverage of the American far left should be concerning to anyone who harbors notions of what a, well, normal society should look like. It's happening in Europe, too, but Europe has even bigger problems, not the least of which is that most of the continent's nations are well on their way to becoming Muslim caliphates, but we'll talk about that another time. No, it's the United States I'm concerned with, and how the far left is trying, in some cases literally, to burn our country down.
So, I will now address these far-left nutbars directly.
All of you who are rioting, setting fire to cars, attacking cops, and, yes, trying to assassinate any activists who are politically to the right of Rosa Luxemburg, there are a few things you need to understand, the first of which is this simple statement:
We're not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with us.
America has a vast silent majority, you see. Many of us on the center and the center-right are part of this unassuming demographic, first named as such (ironically) in the 1920 presidential campaign by the Republican vice-presidential candidate Calvin "Silent Cal" Coolidge, and again in 1969 by then-President Richard Nixon. Nixon is best known for his resignation after the Watergate scandal, but we should also note that he won re-election in 1972 by a massive 49-state electoral landslide, a feat matched by only one other president, Ronald Reagan - and it was in large part the silent majority that put both men in the White House.
The silent majority are the people who go to work every day, pay their bills, save for a retirement home, and mind their own business. A lot of them don't pay much attention to politics until after Labor Day in an election year. Most of them just want to go through their lives, see their kids grow up and have kids of their own, and enjoy their golden years. They don't want to see hordes of people entering the country illegally. Many of their ancestors came here through the legal process, and they don't like line-jumpers. They also don't want to see crazy, wild-eyed, pink-haired nitwits screeching their support for Hamas murderers on the nation's college campuses and waving Mexican flags over burning police cars in Los Angeles.
These people are a big part of the reason Donald Trump is in the White House right now. They - we - put him there to Make America Great Again, but also to Make America Normal Again. He's a reaction, not a cause, and, amazingly, none of you on the far left are smart enough to figure that out - Donald Trump is a reaction to you. They are us. They are America. They are the mainstream.
And, again: We're not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with us.
