Absolute Clown Show: Democrats Try to Storm Mike Johnson's Office, Accost Police Officer
Democrats attempted to storm House Speaker Mike Johnson's office on Tuesday evening, with one representative accosting a police officer who stepped in to stop them. The mostly female members marched through the halls of the Capitol Building, holding signs reading "swear her in" while chanting the same phrase. That's a reference to Adelita Girjalva, who recently won a special election in Arizona.
Johnson has understandably refused to move forward with seating Girjalva as long as Democrats continue to keep the government shut down. On that front, an eighth attempt to pass a Republican-backed clean continuing resolution failed in the Senate just hours prior. Still, the Democrats gathered the cameras (because this was nothing but a lame photo op) and tried to force their way into Johnson's office anyway, apparently not seeing the irony in their demand.
In the second video, you can see Rep. Nanette Barragan (D-CA) screaming in the face of a USCP officer who was just attempting to do his job. Contrary to the spoiled brat syndrome that perpetually infects the Democrat caucus, they don't have the right to barge into Johnson's office without permission. In fact, I've been assured that doing such a thing amounts to a dangerous insurrection. At the very least, it's pretty scummy to lash out like that when these officers aren't even being paid right now because Democrats shut the government down.
Making this even dumber, reports are that Johnson wasn't even there. Instead, the speaker was attending the ceremony to posthumously award Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. So whoever organized this thing (you can see Rep. Pramila Jayapal at the front of the line) managed to screw up their own stunt.
Watching those videos, I can't help but wonder if they understand how ridiculous and out of touch they look. That's especially true for these screeching AWFLs who make up so much of the Democrat caucus. Normal Americans are dealing with a variety of problems, and these entitled clowns are staging photo ops with all the appeal of a colonoscopy.
If they want Girjalva sworn in, they can stop playing games and reopen the government. It's that simple. Until then, they don't get to be immune to the consequences of their own actions.
