The Left Is Trying to Make Jimmy Kimmel Their Charlie Kirk

I'm pretty sure that if the Democrat Party were a person, it would have been diagnosed with a severe case of narcissism a long time ago. It bears all the hallmarks of a clinical narcissist, including gaslighting, minimization, love bombing, and what's called "narcissistic defense." 

Anyone who's ever had the misfortune of having a relationship with a narcissist will recognize this as them making everything about themselves, always trying to one-up you in terms of life difficulty to maintain a kind of moral authority in the relationship. 

So if you say, "I've had a really rough day," the narcissist will respond that their day was rougher and begin talking incessantly about themselves, minimizing your experience and possibly introducing some guilt for trying to make it about you. 

The moment Charlie Kirk was murdered, you saw varied reactions from the left, including placing blame on Charlie for spreading "hate," and attempting to put the shooter in a more tragic light. 

Another attempt was to relabel the shooter as a right-leaning person by way of his family. This is nonsense, as the shooter's own online activity showed he was a radical leftist who was a fan of Antifa and transgenderism. Regardless, this narrative spread like wildfire among the left to the point where Jimmy Kimmel adopted it for his show. 

It was one of the most disgusting moments, not just on Kimmel's show, but on television, period, and it appears to have cost Kimmel his job. 

Not that it probably wasn't coming anyway. Kimmel's audience has been abandoning him for some time now, as reported by the New York Post: 

According to monthly Nielsen figures, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” dropped to just 1.1 million total viewers in August 2025, down 43% from January’s 1.95 million. His August household rating of 0.35 marked the weakest showing of the year.

The advertiser-coveted 18–49 demo also cratered. Kimmel averaged only 129,000 viewers in that bracket in August, off from 212,000 in January and less than half his June peak of 284,000.

If you ask me, Disney brass was looking for a reason to get rid of Kimmel, and he gave them one. 

But since then, the left has made what's happened to Kimmel, not an issue of bad ratings and bad taste, but as proof that conservatives don't actually care about the First Amendment, and our society is in a very bad place. 

"You think Charlie Kirk being murdered was bad? Well, what's happening to Jimmy Kimmel is even worse," says the narcissistic Democrat Party.

As I speak, leftists are coming out of the woodwork to mourn the First Amendment as the corpse of Kimmel's show lay upon the altar. The same people who celebrated when Donald Trump was banned on Twitter, when Roseanne was fired from her own show, when Disney fired Gina Carano, in the same party that tried to institute their own Ministry of Truth, are now upset at what they perceive as censorship. 

They can't stop talking about it, and they won't stop talking about it, because the more they do, the more air it sucks up in the cultural conversation, leaving Charlie Kirk's murder — an event that happened thanks to a culture they created — as yesterday's news. 

The strategy seems clear. Minimize Kirk's murder, maximize MAGA's reaction, victimize those who lost jobs as a result of "MAGA's actual disrespect of free speech," and make it indicative of a scary future where people can't say what they want if it upsets Republicans. 

They have their symbol for all of this in Kimmel. It's shameless and evil, but it's their strategy to gin up fear and loathing against the right, and hopefully maintain it until the midterms. 

It's absolutely gross. Charlie was murdered because they continuously spread that aforementioned fear and loathing, but as I've said repeatedly, and will continue to say until I'm blue in the face, the Democrats care about one thing and one thing only: Power. 

They will sink to any depths to keep it, and if that means minimizing the murder of an innocent man because of the brainwashing they spread, and trying to replace him as the greatest victim of the day with a vile man who openly practices hypocrisy and hate, then so be it.
