Portland Anti-ICE Mob Rolls Out Troubling New Object at Protest

RedState

The protest outside the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon, has been going on for months.

But the radical anti-ICE characters decided to ratchet it up a bit more: when they rolled out a guillotine during a protest this week. The Post Millennial's Katie Daviscourt caught the action. The song that can be heard in the video is, "We got the guillotine, you better run."

Warning for graphic language in the following videos:

They also burned a flag under the blade, according to Daviscourt.

The radicals shouted at the ICE agents, "You are sad excuses for human beings!" and "You guys are violent, cowardly pigs!" The radicals need to check in a mirror to see who the sad excuses are.

So, where is the condemnation from the Democrats for this behavior? Somehow it seems to have gone missing. They'll talk for years about the actions on Jan. 6, but ignore this harassment of federal agents and residents for months.

Then, too, keep in mind the people who live right across the street, and who have had to put up with this. As Fox's Dan Springer explains, the local Portland Police are reluctant to get involved out of fear that it will be interpreted as helping ICE. So, they aren't responding to some of the calls, Fox says. The network showed a little bit of the disturbances over the months, including when a resident took them on and screamed at them because she couldn't sleep with all the noise they were making.

They noted that one resident had sued the city to get them to enforce the laws. In discovery, they found a communication from one officer to another via radio, saying, "If it were not ICE, we could assist directly."

That's low-income housing across the street. It's the people the left claims to care about, but, obviously, they don't when they act like this.

The police claimed in a statement, "We take these concerns seriously. At the same time, we are committed to protecting individuals' rights to express themselves peacefully." They are not acting peacefully, if they're impinging on the rights of others.

As Springer explains, it's adversely impacting the city's reputation. The city has so many vacancies, according to Springer, that it ranks next to last in "good places to invest in the country" and the top 20 buildings for offices have lost more than a billion dollars in combined value in the last five years.

But why would anyone invest, when you could face this? And then you have city officials who don't care, and place illegal aliens over your right to the quiet enjoyment of your home.
