Zelenskyy says he plans to meet Trump at NATO summit
As
NATO leaders gather at The Hague, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who will be
present, has told Sky News that he plans to meet with Donald Trump
during the summit this week.
In an exclusive interview with our chief presenter Mark Austin, Zelenskyy said their teams were working on organisational details and the timing of the meeting.
The
comments come amid the continued absence of a ceasefire agreement
between Ukraine and Russia, with talks hindered by the two sides'
fundamentally incompatible positions.
Russia is demanding
territorial concessions, while Ukraine seeks a ceasefire and security
guarantees without surrendering its sovereignty.
