A Note About Feelings of Trepidation and Influence Around President Donald Trump

Given the massive coalition created to bring President Donald J Trump back into office, it is natural to sense some trepidation about influences that may pull the pragmatic presidency in opposing directions.  Factually, we would not be human if we did not experience some form of nervous anticipation at this critical juncture for our nation.

The ten-year-old MAGA community 2015-2025 is rooted in the Tea Party grassroots movement that preceded it many years before 2009-2015.

The lessons of Republican betrayal and UniParty corruptive influences that manipulated the Tea Party in order to protect the status quo from the disruption we represented are visible and emotional scars.  Through the years, We The People fought the bastards, won some, lost some, gained some ground and lost some again.

Each battle against the corrupt machinery hidden behind the Potemkin village called DC revealed so much.  From the ground in Virginia where we won for McDonnell, then to New Jersey and onward to Massachusetts in the cold December of ’09, we knew then it was going to be hard, yet we knew nothing about how hard it would actually be.  We just knew it had to be done.

Following our massive and unprecedented victory in the 2010 midterm shellacking, we stood in disbelief watching Senate Leader Mitch McConnell and the Republican apparatus respond to our movement by viewing us through the prism of threat.  We represented a new era and DC saw the pragmatic conservative movement as a threat to their traditional power structure. Leadership attacked the very movement that gave them power.

After a few years of disappointment, open betrayal, frustration and anguish, we again dug deep and began reassembling, only this time with a different voice and a leader, Donald Trump.  The MAGA movement originates from those core Tea Party grassroots activists who stood in the cold and said, “enough!”

Again, we were ridiculed, put down, laughed at and labeled.  However, we grew our ranks and won another massive victory against all odds.  In 2016 President Trump was our weapon.  We gained the office of the president, only to see those same DC systems turn against our chosen leader and again attack us with even more severity.

In attacking us again, this time through President Trump, more revelations were made.

Now, with the fully weaponized American government out in the open, the larger American awakening brought more allies to our side.  Yes, four years of strong policy outcomes were gained; and yet, yes, four years of brutal attacks only confirmed our resolve.

When the DC system hit back again in 2020, we did not fall, we did not lose the ember of liberty, and we certainly did not go gently into that goodnight.  We regrouped, poured more sunlight onto the corrupt endeavors of the DC system, gained more tools and allies, and prepared once again to battle.

In 2024 we won a massive contest, not against Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, but rather against the entire system they represented.  We won in November despite the undermining efforts of the very Republican party establishment that we have continually defeated since 2009.

The bloom is fully off the ruse.

We are more hardened, calloused and purposefully cynical as we ever were; yet we are also filled with an even larger faith in a loving God. Our experience with the victories that were insurmountable by most opinions has helped us to become happy and balanced warriors in our mission, and we hold an even more focused and purposeful stare.

So, yeah, it is completely understandable why core MAGA would look today at the newly joined billionaire technocrats who are seemingly seeking self-interested influence, as essentially beneficiaries of the scars we carry.  We look suspiciously at them, as we should.

There is no level of trust to be recaptured or delivered given the history we have surmounted.  There is no benefit of doubt warranted, given the callous nature of the constant betrayal that sits close in our memory.  Yet, we must not let cynicism and dark imaginings impede our purpose.

Tomorrow, President Donald J Trump will take office again.  Enjoy it, embrace it optimistically, and pray for President Trump’s safety and wisdom.

At the same time, do not disparage anyone who has stood with us, fought with us, suffered alongside us in each gain/loss scenario, and reflects an outward disposition of distrust and trepidation.

Watching Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, David Sacks, Bill Gates, the Silicon Valley tech bros and likely vaccinated billionaire moguls who funded our enemies walk into the MAGA tent of Liberty like they own the place, is not exactly a comfortable dynamic.

While we sit on the tailgate eating pizza from the box, we well understand these detached elites would just as purposefully be walking into the tent of the progressive Marxists if we had lost.

Core MAGA is not of the same kinfolk and bloodline as the Technocrats, and just because they purchased JD Vance, doesn’t mean their blue jeans are Made in America.
