Well Played, JD, Well Played: Vance to Appear on Joe Rogan's Podcast After Kamala Chickened Out

Bob Hoge reporting for RedState

Kamala Harris was evidently too busy to schedule an appearance on the highly popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Then, when she realized it was a bad look, she tried to negotiate terms but ended up on the losing end.

She should read a book called “The Art of the Deal.”

But now GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance has shown her up, and he’s agreed to sit down with Rogan on Wednesday. Well played, JD, well played.

Vance is already en route:

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance is traveling to Austin, Texas, on Wednesday to sit down for an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan in his studio.

Donald Trump joined Rogan for a three-hour interview on Friday.

Now, to be fair, Harris hasn’t completely shut the door on making an appearance, but at this point, it seems highly unlikely. It’s clear that she and her team are hyper-aware of the fact that she simply wouldn’t be able to hold an authentic conversation or think on her feet without a teleprompter while facing the pointed questions Rogan would surely ask.

It’s a big audience that she’s missing out on in the closing days of a huge election:

Rogan, a former UFC commentator and comedian who now has the No.1 podcast in the country, has a huge audience: Trump's interview has over 37 million views on YouTube as of Tuesday morning.

Trump appeared on the podcast Friday and spoke freely with Rogan for three hours without notes. In fact, Rogan said the former president didn’t even use the restroom facilities:

This is more bad news for the Harris team. She delivered her "closing speech" Tuesday night at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. with the White House as her backdrop, but it was mostly full of fluffy platitudes and offered little of substance other than "Trump is the devil incarnate and wants to build the Fourth Reich." That has not been a message that has been well-received by the electorate, but she keeps delivering it anyway because it's all she's got (besides abortion, abortion, abortion).

I guess it's easier to just keep reading the same things off the teleprompter over and over than it is to face Rogan for three hours and have to try to fake being relatable.

Rogan says he's a fan of the Ohio Senator:

Harris has a get-out-the-vote rally scheduled Wednesday at a farm show in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, JD will be speaking to tens of millions of potential voters.

You decide who made the better choice.
