Jill's Deep Grudge Against Kamala and How That Factors Into Decision Not to Step Aside
There are a few reasons that Joe Biden may not be stepping aside despite all the calls to do so.
First, his wife Jill's craving for power and recognition. Then there's his own insecurities about being challenged to step aside when he thinks he's better than everyone else, and how dare they question him?!
But there's a new report that deals with another reason, and it sounds like a powerful one for Jill.
When Kamala Harris took to the stage during a Democratic primary debate before the 2020 election and implied that Joe Biden was racist, his wife, Jill's, response was crystal clear.
'Go f**k yourself,' the then-future first lady vented, as she allegedly admitted during a conference call with supporters.
And it's a relationship that has only gotten worse over time, according to the report.
According to one former Democrat operative in Jill's circle, the women's long-seated animosity is 'one hundred per cent' part of Jill's resistance to having her 81-year-old husband step aside.
Because the truth, according to a source who knows the First Couple well, is that Jill's is now the only voice to which the 46th president listens.
And as far as Jill, 73, is concerned, the only thing worse than her husband stepping down would be Kamala stepping up to replace him.
One source described it as "hatred," saying Jill holds grudges and she hasn't let it go. She tried to stop Kamala from being picked as vice president in 2020 but failed.
Then there's Jill's obsession with power and how that's also fueling hanging in there.
But according to one well-placed source while the light of public scrutiny is trained on Biden's mental acuity, the real power behind the throne is Jill, who wants to stay in the White House almost as much as she wants to keep Harris out of it.
The source told DailyMail.com, 'Jill has become consumed by the power and prestige of the presidency and what that means to her.'
The source pointed out that in January 2022 the Marine Corps band performed an original composition entitled, 'Fanfare for the First Lady,' essentially Jill's personal 'Hail to the Chief.'
Mike Miller wrote about the fanfare story back in 2022, and that story was resurrected this week as people discussed Jill's machinations.
Of Course Jill Has Her Own 'Hail to the Chief' Fanfare
After the story hit back then, with the publicity (and the mockery), the song was reportedly pulled, not to be played again. The White House disputes the story.
Who can forget this moment too?
It may come down to negotiation and what Jill would want to step aside, although the pendulum seems to be swinging back toward Biden staying at the moment.
But if any deal for Biden to step aside includes Kamala replacing him, given the animosity from Jill, that's another reason that such a deal may go south.
