Harrison Butker's NFL Jersey Makes the Bestseller List As Wokesters Cry
As we've been reporting, Kansas City Chiefs' kicker Barrison Butker sent the Thought Police into a tizzy with his comments during a commencement speech Saturday at private Catholic liberal arts school Benedictine College where dared to suggest that many women would be happier focusing on family and kids rather than being obsessed with their careers, that men should embrace their masculinity, and that the governmental response to the COVID pandemic.
He added that Biden was hypocritical by claiming he was a practicing Catholic yet made the Sign of the Cross at an abortion rally.
You could almost hear the liberal heads exploding. The outrage mob called for his firing, the NFL's DEI office distanced themselves from the kicker, and the official Kansas City website tweeted out what neighborhood that Butker lives in.
But just like the Bud Light fiasco taught us, not all Americans are buying divisive leftist politics:

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker's commencement address at a private Catholic liberal arts school in Kansas over the weekend has drawn strong reaction. But amid the reaction, demand for Butker's Chiefs jersey seems to have spiked.
As of Thursday, Butker's jersey appears to be among the most in-demand fan gear on NFL.com. Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes' jersey is also listed among the league's bestselling jerseys.
Butker wore No. 87 in college when he kicked for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He currently wears jersey No. 7.
I went to NFL.com to see for myself but didn't find it right away, and it didn't seem to be on the trending list. They wouldn't try to bury it, would they? Food for thought. But I finally located it, and sure enough, the listing read "Most Popular in Jerseys" and had a little trophy next to it.
Other jersey listings also carried the "Most Popular" tag, so I guess they mean it's "among" the most popular, not necessarily "the" most popular. Still, it's clear that people are buying them—lots of them.
You don't have to agree with everything Butker says, but we should all concur that he has the right to say it. I did hear a reasonable caller on the radio today who said she was quite proud of both her family and her career and felt that Butker didn't fully appreciate her need as a woman to want to be self-sufficient. Okay, that's her opinion, and she's entitled to it. What she didn't do is start screeching about how he should be canceled over his comments.
The people demanding his firing, tweeting out of his neighborhood's location, and demanding that he be somehow punished for his thoughts are the real villains here, not Harrison Butker.
Now, if I could only afford that jersey, I'd get one right now.
