An American political figure will be in France at the beginning of March. Hillary Clinton will be the guest of honor at World Summit Impactan event dedicated to the ecological transition of companies organized in Bordeaux (Gironde) on March 7 and 8.
Her name does not yet appear on the
official program but the former Democratic candidate for the US
presidential election is due to speak on March 7, according to South West, to talk about women’s rights and the ecological transition. Information confirmed to Le Parisien by the organizer.
Chosen for “its historic commitment”
The founder of this show, Nicolas
Pereira, explains to our colleagues that he chose to invite Hillary
Clinton “because of her historic commitment to the environment, and in
particular during this 2016 presidential campaign which changed the
United States. and the world in a new era where climate issues and
realities are called into question.” The Democrat was beaten by Donald Trump in November 2016, defying many predictions. In 2015, she opposed Barack Obamathen president of the United States, on drilling in the Arctic.
For Nicolas Pereira, the World Summit
Impact must bring together companies, researchers and politicians to
“exchange ideas and unite ecosystems” on subjects such as the circular
economy or the decarbonization of transport. Other personalities are
invited, including the famous anthropologist Jane Goodall, activist Camille Étienne or even the boss of Medef, Patrick Martin.
