Reporter Demands to Know What Biden Is Doing to Keep Palestinians in America Safe

streiff reporting for RedState

Despite the horrific images coming out of areas of Southern Israel that have been cleansed of Hamas terrorists that invaded over the weekend (link NSFW and view at your discretion), some of our media are still plodding ahead with the "they both do it" narrative that equates a relatively low level of collateral damage by Israel Defense Forces operations with the calculated acts of terror committed by Hamas for the sole purpose of killing Jews.

This is the scene from yesterday's White House press briefing. Voice of America correspondent Anita Powell wants to know how the US government will protect loyal but dissenting Palestinians from the scourge of Cletus.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Okay, go ahead. And then — last question. And then we’ll be back tomorrow.

POWELL: Yesterday, the President said he was putting police departments on — on high alert. Can you guarantee that members of the Muslim diaspora or immigrant communities can still feel safe, can still exercise their civil liberties and exercise their criticism of — of Israel’s behavior? Was that part of the conversations? And can you assure those communities that they still have (inaudible)?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I — I don’t have any details of the conversation, but, obviously, the President is — is going to be — we’re always going to deno- — denounce any form — any type of violence and — certainly, to keep communities safe. That is something we’ll be vigilant about. I don’t have anything else to add.

First, the right of all US citizens and legal residents to criticize Israel's behavior is guaranteed. For Christians and conservatives, the right might be a lot more problematic.

Let's take a look at how it's going.

This is the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Yep. Dissent is alive and well.

How about our future overlords at Harvard? Do they feel safe speaking out in favor of terrorism?

Yep, we are well and truly f***ed a couple of decades from now.

The Constitution is safe in Dearborn, MI. See Jeff Charles's post on this subject: Pro-Hamas Activists Rally in Michigan, Threaten to 'Burn' Israel Until Its 'Demise.'

Raleigh, NC, is safe.

Washington, DC? Check.

Chicago? You bet.

New York? As long as you aren't a conservative gun owner, your rights are secure.

According to Voice of America's website, it is chartered and funded by the US government. This is its mission:

1. VOA will serve as a consistently reliable and authoritative source of news. VOA news will be accurate, objective, and comprehensive.

2. VOA will represent America, not any single segment of American society, and will therefore present a balanced and comprehensive projection of significant American thought and institutions.

3. VOA will present the policies of the United States clearly and effectively, and will also present responsible discussions and opinion on these policies.

This question is tendentious bullshit and designed to create a narrative to present to an overseas audience that a) Palestinians are in danger in the US and b) Uncle Joe is all that's standing between a bunch of highly armed, snaggle-toothed rednecks and genocide. It was a deeply dishonest question and a cheap shot at the "A" in VOA.

In reality, Palestinians who support Hamas (a Venn diagram of Palestinians and Palestinians who support Hamas would have considerable overlap) are under no pressure at all to denounce terrorism. The FBI and Homeland Security are much more interested in investigating grandmothers who walked on Capitol Hill grass on January 6, gun owners, and Traditional Catholics than soiling their hands with Islamic terrorism.
