Did They or Didn’t They? Questions About Whether the FBI Ever Investigated Biden Bribery Scandal
President Joe Biden’s bribery scandal has raised more than a few eyebrows and elicited a number of different questions related to his family’s conduct as well as the Justice Department’s seeming refusal to look into the matter. After it was revealed that Biden allegedly received bribes from the head of a Ukrainian energy company, the FBI has been under scrutiny over its handling of the suspicions about the family. Republican lawmakers recently addressed these questions in an effort to get answers.
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), during a media appearance, joined his colleagues in demanding a special counsel to investigate President Biden’s alleged bribery crimes. Kennedy expressed concerns about political bias within the FBI and the Justice Department, citing instances where agents appeared to be advancing an agenda based on politics.
Kennedy said:
Now Senator Grassley, who has a great deal of credibility, has received a document from a whistleblower inside the FBI based on a trusted informant that says President Biden has been bribed and that the people that bribed him have tapes. Now, I don’t know if all of that is true or not, but we’re entitled to see that document. First, the FBI said, well, we can’t even tell you that it exists. And then they said, you can see it, but it has to be redacted. They won’t tell us whether they’ve even investigated the allegations. The only people who can fix this are the head of the FBI and the attorney general. So the American people understandably have doubts and only Chris Wray and the attorney general can address those doubts. And you can’t find either one of them with a search party, and they just won’t answer.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), while grilling FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate on the FD-1023 in which an informant detailed the bribery allegations, asked whether the Bureau has investigated the Biden family.
SEN. TED CRUZ: Last month, a whistleblower brought to light the existence in the FBI of a report, an FD-1023 in which the informant alleges that President Biden and his family members engaged in a $5 Million bribery scheme during his time as VP. Deputy Director Abbate, is it true that the FBI has a report making those allegations?
FBI DEPUTY DIRECTOR ABBATE: I’m not going to comment on that, Senator.
CRUZ: And why is that?
ABBATE: I’m just not going to comment on information we’ve received about investigations or other matters.
CRUZ: You don’t owe the American people an obligation to be candid about evidence of corruption by the President of the United States?
ABBATE: This is an area that I’m not going to get into with you, Senator.
CRUZ: Well, I understand you don’t want to, and that’s why people are mad at the FBI. Because you are stonewalling and covering up serious allegations of evidence of corruption from the President.
Yesterday, Sen. Chuck Grassley stood on the Senate floor and alleged that there are 17 recordings of this informant from Brisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company, 15 of them are voice recordings of him talking to Hunter Biden. Two of them are voice recordings of him talking to Joe Biden. Deputy Director Abbate, does the FBI have 17 voice recordings laying out evidence of a bribery scheme?
ABBATE: Senator, I would add also that we are working with the House Oversight Committee to provide documents–
CRUZ: This is the other side of the Capitol, do you have the recordings?
ABBATE: I’m not going to comment on an investigative matter, sir.
…
CRUZ: Did you investigate in any way shape or form these allegations?”
ABBATE: Senator, I’m not going to comment.
CRUZ: So you’re not going to say whether you did your job?
ABBATE: We do our job to the very best of our ability.
CRUZ: Well not here! You’re not answering a single question to the American people. And you may think this is esoteric, I promise you millions of Americans are concerned. You know who isn’t concerned? Not a single Senate Democrat. We’re going to go through this whole hearing, not one Democrat will ask a question about this. You know who else isn’t concerned? The corporate media who is joining with the Democrats in covering up this evidence!
Sens. Cruz and Kennedy are asking some interesting questions. Did the FBI actually investigate the allegations into President Biden and his son, Hunter? Or did they just try to bury it immediately? Perhaps they did investigate, found a smoking gun, and are burying said gun in the sand? Or maybe they found nothing and they are just jerking us around for their own amusement while they laugh to themselves?
As endless as the possibilities might be, my gut tells me the Bureau never bothered to follow up on the allegations contained on the FD-1023 form. It seems more likely that the agents handling the matter simply ignored the allegations and did not bother to follow up. If they had and then discovered even more compelling evidence of bribery, it would be harder for them to get away with covering up the matter.
If I’m right, and the Bureau simply chose to throw the FD-1023 form to the side and wander off while whistling “Dixie,” it only further shows that there are malevolent politically-motivated forces in the FBI. I don’t normally do the “What If This Were Trump” game, but in this case, it’s warranted. The Bureau has been after him since the 2016 election when it tried to concoct a false narrative about former President Trump’s supposed collaboration with the Russian government to swing the result of the race.
To put it simply, if there were bribery allegations against Trump, FBI agents would be falling all over themselves to investigate. So why did they not do the same in Biden’s case? We already know why, don’t we? They were trying to protect the Biden family to promote their own political agenda. This is what the FBI has become. It will remain this way until something is finally done about the corruption in the Bureau.
