WATCH: NYC Mayor Eric Adams Delivers Delusional Message to MTG, Trump Supporters to 'Control Themselves'
The next couple of days are likely to be quite something with all kinds of actions and reactions to former President Donald Trump going to New York to answer the indictment from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. We’re covering it in an open thread you can check out here.
But starting it off with a big delusional bang, we have New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Talk about a festival of Democratic delusion — this would be it, big time.
Control yourselves. New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger. We are the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City. And although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, says she’s coming to town. While you in town be on your best behavior. As always, we will not allow violence or vandalism of any kind. And if one is caught participating in any act of violence, they will be arrested and held accountable no matter who you are.
Wow. How many ways is this bonkers? The misplaced anger of Trump supporters? Many Americans, and not just Trump supporters are outraged at Democrats’ abusing the rule of law and targeting a political opponent who is a declared candidate for the presidency in 2024. Talk about insulting millions of people. How about political Democratic officials control themselves? And I don’t recall this kind of comment about “control yourselves” during the BLM/Antifa riots from him.
Then he suggests there are threats — yet admits there are no specific threats. But he’ll stoke that division and try to blame Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) if anything happens (with or without a push from the left).
But perhaps the most delusional part of the statement is how he describes New York, that they are the “safest” city because they “respect the rule of law.”
Are you kidding me? New York City is a hell hole, with people fleeing to Florida precisely because the city doesn’t respect the rule of law because they have horrible laws and progressive DAs like Alvin Bragg who let violent people out of jail. People are scared and fed up. How dare Adams talk about Trump supporters when he can’t control the crime in his city and it’s the very DA who is going after Trump who is largely responsible for a lot of the problems?
As we noted, instead, Bragg goes after the poor victims of crime who dare to defend themselves from attack, like the parking attendant who tried to fight off his attacker.
Hopefully, nothing happens. But if anything did, we know that the Democrats would fall upon that like carrion birds, celebrating a catch. Then anyone allegedly involved in such actions would probably be locked up, and they’d throw away the key. Unlike leftist actions where most of the people get let off the hook. But yes, let’s talk about the rule of law again.
Democrats have put the “rule of law” in serious jeopardy on so many fronts, not just with their pursuit of Trump, all to hold onto their power.
