Protesters briefly interrupted French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday as he gave a keynote speech about European sovereignty in The Hague during a state visit to the Netherlands. “Where is French democracy?” shouted the demonstrators in a theatre where Macron was just beginning his address, while holding up a banner saying “President of violence and hypocrisy”.
