Pelosi Busts out Stand-up Comedy Gig, Says Democrats Have 'Always Been' Unifying the Country
In this episode of Democrats Say the Darnedest Things…
We’ve long known that soon-to-be-erstwhile Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been among the most brazen and shameless political hacks on Capitol Hill for decades. But now, a bit of reality seems to be seeping into her delusional head [sarc]. As a result, Pelosi appears to be considering stand-up comedy as her next gig.
Following a question on Sunday by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos about what post-midterms steps the Democrats should take to help bring the country together, Pelosi busted out a comedy routine:
We have always been taking that step because we honor our oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and that should be a unifying principle for us. Uh, with many of our bills we worked very hard to make ‘bipartisan, bipartisan, bipartisan,’ and while the bills were bipartisan, the votes were not.
Descriptors like “delusional” are overused in hyperbolic fashion, but what else can you call that?
Setting aside the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade, in which the majority correctly wrote that abortion was never a constitutionally-guaranteed right — strictly as a health issue, as intended by the Founding Fathers — Pelosi is also under the delusional misconception that “protecting and defending the Constitution” is mutually inclusive with radical left-wing Democrat policies.
Just me, or does Pelosi look like she’s desperately pleading her case every time she says something stupid?
Pelosi of course is just the latest in a long line of Democrat stand-up comedians.
Barack “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon” Obama said during his keynote speech at the 2004 Democrat National Convention:
There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.
Yet what did Chicago Jesus Obama do? He sanctimoniously exploited every self-created opportunity to divide this country along racial lines for eight years, which he continues, today.
Next up, in a “brilliant” display of political savvy, Hillary Clinton infamously declared during the 2016 presidential campaign:
You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.
Good job, H. I mean, who wouldn’t think that alienating close to half of America during a presidential campaign is a winning strategy?
Last but not least, who can forget Joe Biden’s bald-faced lie in November 2020, two days after the presidential election?
They (Trump supporters) are not our enemies. They’re Americans. This is the time to heal in America. I will work to be a president who seeks not to divide but unify. I won’t see red states and blue states, I will always see the United States.
Um, Joe? Let’s fast-forward, shall we?
MAGA forces are determined to take this country backward. Backward to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love. “pose a clear and present danger” (to American democracy).
Any questions, my hypocritical Democrat friends?
The Bottom Line
I’m often amused when people on our side call on the Democrat Party to remove from office — whether by impeachment and conviction, the 25th Amendment, or forced resignation — despicable hacks like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Adam Schiff, and any number of other examples. Why? Hacks like Pelosi & Co. remain the best form of in-kind campaign contributions the Republican Party has ever seen.
Beating the daylights out of Democrats in elections is a different ballgame, which is why it’s incumbent upon Republican voters to not screw up the 2024 presidential election.
