Corrosive, hateful, and disgraceful.

Whelp. I’d say “I told you so,” but Joe Biden’s alleged “Presidential Address to the Nation” was even worse than I thought it would be. You don’t restore the soul of the nation by further corroding the soul of the nation.

But that’s precisely what the White House delivered — corrosive, vitriolic demagoguery presented on a set straight out of 1930s Berlin.

Does this look like the image of a man battling to restore the soul of the nation?

It doesn’t matter how many times old Joe’s speechwriters tossed in words like “unity” or “freedom” or the non-defined “democracy.” That speech was about corroding the soul of the nation as founded.

It doesn’t matter how many dopes in the media gushed like star-stuck ‘tweens over how “powerful” Biden’s vitriolic, partisan speech was. That is the image the White House left with the American people – a decrepit, senile old man washed in blood-red lighting, shouting angrily with his fists raised as two Marines stood sentry behind him.

One imagines the White House communications team huddled in an office kicking around ideas for Thursday’s speech, carefully hammering out the perfect staging and set lighting that would make their old, senile figurehead appear larger than life, the living embodiment of the laughable “Dark Brandon” internet meme.

But if that’s what you’re going for, why claim that the speech was about restoring the soul of the nation?

Is the soul of our nation a blood-red dystopia led by a senile, broken-down old crock who fancies himself America’s Führer?

This far-too-online administration staged a speech solely to appeal to the Twitter ResistanceLOL. The White House communications office, channeling Leni Riefenstahl, created a production designed to elicit gushing praise from blue-check reporters and pundits, nothing more.

So when even some of the most Democrat-friendly reporters tweeted their apprehension over the optics of this shitty speech, surprised White House staffers, unused to criticism, got very defensive.

When their allies in the media objected to the White House using Marines as a prop for Biden’s deeply partisan political speech, this is the excuse that the inept Karine Jean-Pierre came up with:

“Deep and abiding respect.”

Dear God. These cretins really do think the American people are deeply stupid.

But network television, smelling a rat, opted not to air the so-called “Presidential Address to the Nation,” choosing instead to stick with their regularly-scheduled programming. This decision didn’t sit well with the Twitter ResistanceLOL who immediately responded with stunned indignation.

“How dare they not air this all-important speech warning how dangerous Trump supporters are?! There’s nothing political about attacking extremists that are a threat to our democracy!!!!!!”

Of course, the radicals in charge of this White House are stuck with an imperfect vessel through which to convey their deeply partisan, slanderous, Hitlerian midterm message.

Less than 24 hours after accusing Trump supporters of being extremists who threaten the country, old senile Joe had already forgotten all about it.

When asked by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy about his slanderous remarks, Biden laughed it off and claimed he doesn’t think Trump supporters are a threat.

Unfortunately, the highly-paid White House “social media engagement” staffer running Biden’s Twitter account must not have been aware that Biden “walked back” (AKA forgot) his comments. Well into Friday evening, the staffer continued to tweet out video clips from Il Dope’s “Mussolini-on-the-balcony” speech attacking “MAGA Republicans” as extremists who are a threat to the country.

While Joe Biden is and has always been an asshole, he isn’t the only one corroding the soul of the nation.

Joe Biden didn’t come up with the lighting, the staging, or even the vitriolic, ugly speech he dutifully and angrily read. Those decisions were all made by the venomous partisans that inhabit this White House, from Susan Rice to Anita Dunn to every far-Left activist in their employ.

And every single one of them despises you and thinks of you as sub-human.

If you oppose the Democrat Party’s radical agenda, you are an enemy of the state.

If you think there should be restrictions on abortion, you are a “threat” to “democracy.”

If you oppose the surgical mutilation of children, you endanger the “soul of the nation.”

If you believe parents should have a say in how their children are educated, you are less than human and have no place in America.

And because you oppose this White House and its agenda, you can be smeared, slandered, threatened, and targeted live on primetime television by the President of the United States.

As Inez Stepman noted on Twitter Thursday night:

“The whiplash between Biden’s characterization of his political opponents and his calls for ‘unity’ aren’t hypocrisy. He’s communicating that we – those who disagree with his party – are outside the body politic and the bonds of citizenship. A scary speech for a scary time.”

This was precisely the “midterm argument” the ugly partisans in the Biden White House wanted to make.

It was corrosive and disgraceful.

And if this is how they see the soul of the nation, our nation is hanging by a thread.
