The Latest Plummet in Biden's Approval Comes From Within His Own Party

Brandon Morse reporting for RedState

One of the reasons behind an upcoming red wave sweep in the midterms can be described by an old adage from Ronald Reagan.

“I didn’t leave the party, the party left me,” said The Gipper.

It was a sentiment shared by many a Democrat voter at the time who felt their former party had abandoned them in favor of more and more leftism. It was a sentiment that would overwhelmingly sweep the former actor into high office.

It seems we’re seeing history repeat itself. President Joe Biden’s popularity is falling drastically and there are no signs of it stopping. To be sure, he and the Democrats brought this on with repeated failures on everything from foreign policy to the economic health of the nation. The Democrat Party would rather embrace extremist solutions and positions than take common-sense steps to improve the nation.

These positions are so bad that Biden’s recent drop in the polls is helped along quite a bit from within his own party according to Fox News:

The poll, published by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public research, shows that only 39% of adults in the United States approve of Biden’s performance as president.

Overall, only about 2 in 10 adults say the U.S. is heading in the right direction or the economy is good, both down from about 3 in 10 a month earlier. Those drops were concentrated among Democrats, with just 33% within the president’s party saying the country is headed in the right direction, down from 49% in April.

Biden’s overall approval among Democrats sits at 73% which represents a drop from 82% in the same poll last year. Biden never dropped below 82% approval among Democrats in 2021.

Last year, this approval rating was at 63 percent, meaning he’s experienced a 24 percent drop in approval over a very short amount of time.

Fox News reported this isn’t the only drop either. When it comes to his decisions on the economy, only a small minority believe he’s actually done anything good, and that too is a sinking number:

Additionally, only 18% of Americans say that Biden’s policies have helped more than they have hurt the economy, which is down from 24% in March. Meanwhile, 51% of Americans say his policies have hurt more than they have helped with 30% saying he hasn’t made a difference one way or the other.

This poll comes on the heels of another showing that Biden’s support is decreasing among the Hispanic community.

The current main figure of the Democrat Party is drowning and taking his colleagues with him. Midterms look to be an unmitigated disaster for Democrats despite doing everything to try to stop the bleeding except the right things.
