Springtime for Censors
So the Biden administration has decided to create a Homeland Security board full of censors and put a former drama club attention-seeker with the emotional age of a thirteen-year-old in charge of it.
Is anybody else feeling like we’re being punked?
This has to be the single most ridiculous thing that this administration has done since Joe Biden stumbled into the White House, and that’s saying a LOT.
At the same time, we should’ve seen this coming.
Homeland Security establishing a Ministry of Censors is the logical conclusion to what this administration has been veering toward since it first admitted it was urging social media companies to do more to combat “disinformation” about COVID vaccines.
Creating a “Disinformation Governance Board” is wildly unconstitutional, a direct violation of the First Amendment, and the very dystopian nightmare the idiot ResistanceLOL claimed Trump would create.
The fact that the Department of Homeland Security hired this Broadway reject to run its Ministry of Censors is just the icing on the cake:
Not since “Springtime for Hitler” has an audience reacted with such repulsed horror.
David Burge (@iowahawk) came up with the best nickname for this woman, “J. Edgar Jazzhands.” I nearly spit out my coffee when I read that.
Admittedly, the horrifying thing about this shrill busybody isn’t that she fantasizes about being the next Carol Channing. It’s that she is a censorious, anti-free speech nut-bag that has fallen for every major fake story to come over the transom.
The Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy discovered, to nobody’s surprise, that Nina Jankowicz promoted the false claim that Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was Russian disinformation and a product of the Trump campaign. She praised the creator of the bogus Trump “dossier,” Christopher Steele, and bought the Trump/Russia collusion hoax hook, line, and sinker.
And she’s going to be in charge of “countering disinformation?”
That would be like putting Stacey Abrams in charge of healthy eating.
But, see, even the stated purpose of this Ministry of Censors is, in itself, “disinformation.”
It isn’t the “Disinformation Governance Board;” it is a panel of taxpayer-funded censors.
In short, Homeland Security has created the federal government’s version of Twitter’s “Trust and Safety” censors.
Every lie that advances the Biden administration’s messaging will be permitted while anything that runs counter to the government’s approved lie will be deemed “disinformation” that must be censored.
The fact that DHS placed this shrill, irritating, smug, entitled musical theater kid in charge typifies the condescending disdain for the American people we’ve come to expect from the horrid ideologues in this administration.
There’s a reason I called the Biden Administration the Oberlin College Student Council.
About five years ago, I was interviewed by Matt Locke on The Blaze radio and we were discussing college leftists. Matt suggested that they were in for a rude awakening when they graduated and ventured out into the real world. But I disagreed.
I told Matt those thin-skinned, censorious college leftists were bringing that culture into the real world with them. They were getting jobs in public schools, corporations, media, and government. And they were infecting every institution with their lunacy.
The Biden administration is crammed with these psychos, and this Nina Jankowicz is just one of them.
The “theater-kid-turned-Resistance-wine-mom” pretty much sums up the Democrat Party base today.
It isn’t a coincidence that the Biden administration announced the Ministry of Censors the same week Elon Musk purchased Twitter.
Just a year ago, Democrats still operated under the notion that they couldn’t use the government directly to violate Freedom of Speech, so they outsourced it to social media censors instead.
But with Musk buying Twitter with the stated purpose of making it an actual Free Speech platform, the Biden administration dropped the pretense entirely and will now use the full force of government to directly infringe on the American people’s inalienable right to freedom of speech.
Don’t let the foolish clown with the shrill Broadway voice distract you from the bigger picture.
What they’re doing is terrifying.
And any Republican who doesn’t rain down hellfire on this “Disinformation Governance Board” should be voted out of office.
