COVID Tested Positive for Kamala
It was reported yesterday that Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for COVID-19. And the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the news on Twitter was an episode from the “Buffy the Vampire” spin-off “Angel.”
Okay, bear with me.
In this episode, Angel and his team of demon fighters have to perform an exorcism on a boy who is possessed by a demon. And after they rid the boy of the demon, Angel and Wesley track the demon down in order to kill it.
But when they find the demon, it tells Angel that it only learned after possessing him that the boy had no soul. The demon was trapped inside the soulless boy, unable to take over his body or even escape. So before Angel kills it, the demon thanks him for freeing it from its prison inside the boy.
I’m guessing right about now, COVID is feeling a lot like that demon.
So, has Kamala tested positive for COVID? Or has COVID tested positive for Kamala?
Which one is the true evil virus?
On the plus side, like everyone else that latches onto this Veep, after a few days in Kamala’s company, COVID will probably quit of its own accord.
According to a statement from Kirsten Allen, Kamala’s press secretary (at least until she quits), before Veep tested positive for COVID, Kamala had no close contact with President Biden or First Lady Jill (who probably already avoids Kamala like the Plague).
So, situation normal then.
My guess is, the entire West Wing acts as a firewall between Kamala and Joe whether she’s carrying a viral load or not.
(Yes, this is where you make your jokes about the kind of loads Kamala usually carries. Ya dirty-minded perverts.)
Like everyone else in the Biden administration who has tested positive for COVID, Kamala is fully vaccinated and received not one, but two booster shots as well.
At this point, I’m beginning to suspect the COVID vaccines act as a virus magnet, not a virus prevention.
Has there been anyone at the White House who hasn’t tested positive for COVID at this point? It’s like COVID Ground Zero in there. We should rename it the Wuhan House.
On the upside, now that COVID has come down with a case of Kamala, the Veep will be remaining in isolation.
The downside to that is there won’t be any hilariously embarrassing video clips of Kamala for a few days.
But don’t worry. She’ll will be back. Kamala’s like a virus that way.
