A Horrible Week For Biden, A Great Week For America

A Horrible Week For Biden, A Great Week For America

It’s not often absolutely everything goes wrong. And by “everything” I mean everything. Imagine a day where you get fired, your spouse dumps you, you get food poisoning, all your accounts are hacked, your bank account drained, you get hit by a car, and your dog bites you. That would be a pretty bad day. That was Joe Biden’s week – absolutely everything that could go wrong, did. And it was glorious for America.

It’s hard to overstate everything that happened last week – so much went wrong that you could easily forget some of it. It may well be the worst week for a Presidential administration ever.

I have to qualify that because, obviously, 9/11, the assassination of JFK, Pearl Harbor, etc., are significantly worse events and weeks. But from a strictly political standpoint, no President has ever seen so much, everything, go completely wrong in just one week. If the Biden presidency were a bus, all the wheel just fell off while the transmission broke, the engine seized, and the whole thing caught fire. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Think about the news this week, it’s all been bad for Democrats. Inflation is at a 40 year high, 7 percent over last year. Their attempt to federalize election is dead. The push to get rid of the filibuster ended. Store shelves are empty. The Supreme Court smacked down his attempt to unilaterally issue a vaccine mandate. A new liberal poll shows Biden’s approval rating is only 33 percent. Kamala Harris crashed and burned yet again during another friendly interview. COVID case rates set world records. Even Stacey Abrams didn’t want to be seen with him.

Nothing worked out for Joe this week.

The dirty little secret the media won’t tell you is Joe Biden has never really stood for anything. His career has been spent on whatever side of an issue was advantageous for him at that moment. He’s a “devout Catholic” who now supports taxpayer-funded abortions in the name of “justice.” He’s now a vocal defender of civil rights after a career of racist comments and bragging about his ties with segregationists. That he’s spent his life passionately defending the filibuster when rumors had it on the chopping block under Republicans (something that never even came close to happening) and now he’s actively pressuring Senators to get rid of it to push his agenda tells you what kind of character Joe Biden truly has.

This week treated Joe Biden the way Joe Biden treated Tara Reade – it shoved him against the wall and violated his physical being.

People underestimate the skills needed to obtain a 33 percent approval rating. Each party’s candidate starts off a presidential election with about 40 percent of the vote, blindly loyal. Biden is so bad even people who’d vote for him come hell or high water, have fallen off by almost 20 percent.

When even your party’s candidate for Governor doesn’t want to be seen with you, you know you’ve got a problem. Rather than go to, say, West Virginia to apply pressure to Joe Manchin to change his mind, Joe went to Georgia, a state where he already has both Senators, to apply pressure on the Senate to kill the filibuster. Putting aside how stupid that is strategically, it’s beyond embarrassing when Stacey Abrams passes on a chance to share a stage. Even worse when the President tries to claim there’s some sort of scheduling conflict, which simply does not happen with the President of the United States, you almost have to feel bad for him. Almost.

After his Georgia speech, in which he accused anyone currently holding the position on the filibuster he held until about 15 minutes ago of being some of the worst Democrats ever (George Wallace, Bull Connor), even members of his own party were left scratching their heads. When Majority Whip Dick Durbin, the most appropriately named man in government, says you may have gone a “little too far,” you’ve gone too far.

But there is no “too far” when you don’t believe in anything other than your own power. That’s what Joe Biden is, and it’s what he’s always been.

Is he senile? Of course. Is he corrupt? Absolutely. Is he dumb? Without question. Which of these truths is the overriding factor in how this week fell apart? Does it really matter? That’s like judging a soup by each individual ingredient. If the whole things sucks, who cares if it’s because you had bad celery or bad noodles?

Joe Biden is a bad soup, and this week the country sent it back. We’re all better for it.
