Titleist Bans 'Let's Go, Brandon' From Customized Golf Balls, but Permits 'Kill Cops' and 'Kill Trump'

Streiff reporting for RedState

Just over two months ago, a legend was born.

NBC Sports reporter Kelly Stavast interviewed NASCAR driver Brandon Brown after he won the  NASCAR Xfinity Series Sparks 300 race at the Talladega (AL) Superspeedway. The crowd was raucous, and as the interview proceeded, the chant of “F*** Joe Biden” was clearly transmitted to listeners. This was not totally unexpected because by October, “F*** Joe Biden” was as uncontroversial as “good morning” for a majority of Americans (It’s a Movement: Chanting Against Biden and They’re Not Holding Back). In fact, it had become an international phenomenon (It’s Spreading: Watch as ‘F Joe Biden’ Goes International).

However, it was Stavast’s feeble attempt at gaslighting that converted a background crowd chant into a legendary faceplant (‘F Joe Biden’ Makes It Live at NASCAR, Reporter Does Her Best to Spin).

And so, “Let’s Go, Brandon,” was born.

Since its rather humble beginnings, “Let’s Go, Brandon” has been used in a floor speech in the House of Representatives (Watch: The First Official Utterance of ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Has Been Made on the House Floor). An eponymously named song has made it to Number One song on iTunes (WATCH: “Let’s Go Brandon!” Goes From Viral Meme to #1 Song on iTunes.). Florida Governor Ron DeSantis paid homage to the viral sensation by holding a press conference in Brandon, FL (Ron DeSantis Escalates ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Wars in a Rather Clever Way).

Democrat apparatchiks in corporate America, as well as the quisling of Conservative, Inc., have not been amused. The noxious, self-righteous “we-are-better-than-that” conservatives don’t want to irritate the leftists they slavishly suck up to and lose invitations to social gatherings and media appearances. The corporate Democrats are well acquainted with Saul Alinsky’s Rule Number 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.” If you want to see what kind of a dumpster fire it is attempting to fight politically damaging ridicule that is also funny, read some of these stories: DCCC Inadvertently Joins the ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Ranks With Hilarious Gas Prices GraphicWH Official Comment on ‘F Joe Biden’ and ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Chants Is as Bad as You Would ThinkDiscredited Hack Dan Rather Blasts ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ — Oh, What a Short Memory He HasThe Most ‘Cry Harder’ CNN Translation for ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Has Arrived; and, Spare Us the Fake Outrage Over ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ You Feckless Hypocrites.

YouTube scrubbed rapper Bryson Gray’s “Let’s Go, Brandon” from its platform (YouTube Removes ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Song as Reports Indicate Similar Actions Taken Against Others) and Instagram. The trendy fitness company, Peloton, which caters to a peculiar demographic that never seems to get fit, has banned the hashtag #Let’sGoBrandon by clients. NASCAR is raging that it will sue if its trademarks are used in conjunction with the phrase.

Now a major sporting goods company has joined the pack of leftist companies flying top cover for Joe Biden.

Customers attempting to print the popular anti-Biden chant “Let’s Go Brandon” on Titleist golf balls were given an error message and told their orders could not be completed.

On the website, part of those Terms and Conditions reads, “Acushnet Company reserves the right to reject orders for imprints on our products that may, in our sole discretion, be inconsistent with our company values or brand identity, including, but not limited to logos, designs and/or personalizations that are negative in nature, advocate violence or illegal activity, or are slurs, hateful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or pornographic.”

Like most leftist companies, that put forward by Acushnet/Titleist is absolute bull**** and used to censor speech of which it does not approve.

One would think that major companies that cater to individual customers would learn to think twice before doing nonsense like this (Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Says His Anti-Gun Crusade Has Cost the Company a Quarter Billion Dollars). Pro-golfers were solid Trump supporters before and after the laughable “insurrection” of January 6. I guarantee that you won’t find leftists crowding the golf courses on weekends or buying tickets to PGA events. It is especially stupid in a market, like golf balls, where the product is anything but unique.
