The Twitter Administration: Governing By Internet Hoax
You know, Donald Trump may have tweeted a LOT. But one thing is certain, his administration never made public policy decisions to please the denizens of Twitter. The same can’t be said about the Biden administration. Despite Trump’s prolific tweeting, it is Joe Biden that is operating a Twitter Administration.
Yesterday, after a week of phony outrage ginned up by idiots on Twitter who accused Border Patrol officers on horseback of using “whips” on Haitian illegals, President Biden vowed that he was going to make these non-existent whip-wielding officers “pay” for something that never happen.
Everything this administration believes about America can be traced back to a viral internet rumor or hoax which was then amplified by their preferred propagandists in the media.
During his September 9 speech targeting the unvaccinated, Biden repeated the internet rumor that people were being turned away from hospitals because those dirty unvaccinated people were taking all the beds.
He also repeated the internet rumor that someone dying of COVID begged to get vaccinated, but the doctor told the dying patient “It’s too late.”
This is the Twitter Administration.
They make decisions based on BS claims that go viral on social media.
Personally, I think I’d prefer mean tweets.
Remember when Jussie Smollett made up his ridiculous hoax about MAGA-hat-wearing White Supremacists attacking him in Chicago as he came home from Subway? Sure you do!
He claimed beat him up, they tied a noose around his neck, doused him with bleach and shouted “This is MAGA Country.” And the whole time this alleged attack took place, Jussie never dropped his Subway bag.
The current Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris used this phony “hate crime” to flog the anti-lynching bill.
It was all a lie.
And now she’s at it again.
Yesterday, Kamala appeared on The View to accuse these non-existent whip-wielding officers of being just like slavery!!!!
What preternatural powers does Kamala possess that she can get outraged seeing something that never friggin’ happened?
It’s bad enough present-day “reporters” get all their stories from social media rumors and hoaxes. But to have an entire Administration making policy decisions based on them is all kinds of embarrassing.
But what else would you expect from the Twitter Administration?
This has been a social media-driven administration from the get-go which is why so much of the garbage they are pushing, while popular on Twitter, really has no actual support out here in the real world.
It’s also why they don’t know there isn’t much support out here in the real world.
See, the Twitter Administration actually believes that what happens on Twitter is an accurate barometer for America.
Spoiler alert: It isn’t.
Not long ago there was a Pew Research study that showed Twitter is disproportionately Left-leaning. What’s more, only 10% of Twitter users are responsible for 92% of all tweets. In fact, the active population on Twitter is bluer than the bluest Congressional district in the country.
The Twitter Administration is so desperate to gain the approval of these people that they are pushing insane policy decisions on a country that wants no part of them because the country isn’t bluer than the bluest Congressional district.
And because these guys think Twitter reflects real life, they fall for every phony hoax that gins up outrage on social media.
To appeal to this “so not real life” demographic, Joe Biden showed more anger for non-existent, whip-wielding Border Patrol officers on horseback than he has for whoever targeted and droned an innocent family in Kabul.
Sure, Donald Trump used Twitter a lot. But he used it most to go over the heads of a media that despised him. And in that respect, he used it effectively.
But Donald Trump never let Twitter use him.
The same can’t be said for the idiots currently occupying the White House.
