Meaningless Gestures are back!
Washington DC has been turned into a war zone. Thousands of National Guard are deployed to ward off the mythical “threat” of sinister White Supremacist InsurrectionistsTM hiding behind every bush. But over at the White House meaningless gestures are back!
Yup!
The promised $2,000 checks that were going out on Day OneTM never went out. Meanwhile Congress is busy shuffling the deck chairs on the SS Bidanic and fussing over who is and is not be eligible for the measly $1,400 they deign to mail out instead.
But who cares? Jill Biden put pretty cardboard hearts on the White House lawn!
The flurry of executive orders signed by her senile husband have killed thousands of American jobs. But Jill Biden made it all better with the first in what no doubt will be a long list of meaningless gestures.
The Biden Administration is hoping meaningless gestures and shiny, happy window dressing will be the opiate of the masses.
Sure, their actions aren’t kind or compassionate, but look at those hearts!
A sentiment echoed by White House Press Secretary Jen Psircle.
Actually, what’s back is this little thing we call “the politics of good intentions.” Democrats love the politics of good intentions because they never actually have to accomplish anything.
All they have to do is say the right things and present the right optics, and they’re golden.
But when the rubber meets the road, their actions have nothing to do with their good intentions.
The politics of good intentions are fueled by meaningless gestures and empty words.
Oh, and Jen? Let me circle back to your tweet. Compassion and kindness are two things. Therefore, the correct verb in this instance is “are” not “is.”

But, see. For the news media – the key demographic for these meaningless gestures – Jill’s Garden o’ Platitude Hearts gives them the pretext to act as if the Biden White House is somehow kinder, gentler and more compassionate than the Trump White House.
Pay no attention the kids in cages!
Ignore the shuttered schools and businesses!
The actions of this Administration do not matter.
Only optics matter.
Jill’s Garden o’ Meaningless Optics is the perfect distraction from the Biden Administration’s Actions o’ Economic Destruction.
You might be staring at a stack of bills wondering how the hell you’re going to pay them. But Jill put hearts on the White House lawn, so all is well in the world.
Your small business that you spent years building up might be crashing down around you. But Jill made a video of her signing her name to cardboard hearts for White House reporters to swoon over. And that’s all that matters.
Why are you lying awake at night filled with fear over your child’s ever-increasing depression?! Didn’t you see Jill Biden’s Garden o’ Meaningless Gestures?!
The Bidens — and the reporters that fawn over them — live in a bubble.
Just blocks away from Jill’s Shiny Happy Lawn Art, chain link fencing with razor wire surround the Capitol.
But pay no attention to the armed soldiers and razor wire, you plebs!
Aren’t Jill’s hearts the sweetest thing?!!!
Meanwhile, one of Jen Psircle’s underlings had to resign from the White House yesterday because several weeks ago he threatened and harassed a woman reporter.
Now, the White House knew all about it when it happened, but took no action. Instead, they covered it up.
(But, but, but LOOK AT THOSE HEARTS!!!)
This, despite the fact that at the same time this guy was harassing a reporter and vowing to ruin her life, Joe Biden was sanctimoniously lecturing his staff about treating other people with respect or they’d be fired on the spot.
Of course, in this case “fired on the spot” means several weeks later and only because news of this incident made the papers.
Compassion!
Kindness!
Love!!!!
HEALING!!!!!!!
When these are your actions, what choice do you have but to embrace the politics of good intentions?
And what better way to distract the American people from what a mess you’re making of things in your first month in office than to deploy meaningless gestures like Jill’s Garden O’ Good Intentions?
We have four years of this kind of crap coming our way.
As we watch fuel prices rise and the cost of living soar, as we enter YEAR TWO of mask-wearing and “flattening the curve,” as we see China overtake our economy while our jobs and businesses atrophy, expect the Biden White House to rely more and more on meaningless gestures and useless platitudes.
They will turn America into a mirror of Biden himself – shiny and happy on the outside, but on the inside a rotting, turgid, desiccated shell.
