Biden Team Can't Seem to Find What Happened to 20 Million Doses of the Vaccine

Well, this is a problem.

Joe Biden can’t seem to figure out what happened to 20 million doses of the vaccine.

But don’t worry they’re doing their best to try to blame President Donald Trump for their inability to figure things out.

About 50 million doses were sent out to the states according to the CDC, says the NY Post, but it’s not clear where 20 million doses are since they haven’t yet been recorded as being given to people.

Now, while reportedly about 10 percent may be due to reporting lags from the states, they’re still trying to track the rest of the the doses which may be in warehouses or in process of being delivered.

They’ve already been blasted being unable to say how much of the vaccine they have on hand which would seem to be a simple concept to figure out.

But Biden even has trouble just getting basic numbers right about the vaccine, as we reported here.

Unfortunately, in this federalist exercise, once it’s distributed to the states, some states are going to be inherently more efficient with it than other states. Texas for example has been very efficient, other states or like Rhode Island and Alabama less so. The states are supposed to distribute them and then report once they’ve gone into people’s arms. That’s apparently what the Biden team is having trouble figuring out.

They’re blaming the Trump team for the issue, saying they weren’t left with a plan, claiming they weren’t given access to information.

The Trump team’s Operation Warp Speed debunked that quickly saying they had over 300 meetings with the Biden people to bring them up to speed, as we reported.

From National Review:

“We provided the Biden team over 300 transition meetings, including the very first one on Warp Speed which I kicked off myself,” former Health and Human Services chief of staff Brian Harrison said. “The idea that they’re walking in, having no clue what was going on, is absolutely preposterous.” [….]

The former official described the distribution plan, which is being managed by U.S. Army general Gustave Perna, as “extraordinarily detailed” and “comprehensive.”

“It’s gone flawlessly,” the former official said. “Like, out of tens of thousands of deliveries under extreme cold storage conditions, I think three out of like 30,000 didn’t make it to the right place at the right time. So, it’s a 99.99 percent success rate of shipping to the right place at the right time in the right quantity, under the right conditions.”

Not only was there a plan as a former official explained, there were actually 64 plans that were tailored for each pubic health jurisdiction, that were drawn out starting in September working in cooperation with the states and what they would need, based on a 60 page operation book from the CDC that included guidance to local officials about operations, logistics, information technology, and storage requirements, among other things. The jurisdictions turned in their vaccine administration plans in mid-October, one former official said.

So once the vaccines got their emergency use authorization in December, the plan was already ready to go.

The Trump team had already been distributing up to 1 million a day and Biden tried to make it seem that that was unique when he claimed that was his target when President Donald Trump had already been doing that. Obviously, because they were already doing that, there was a very robust plan in place.
