Stop chasing down the rabbit hole
Say, did you know Chief Justice John Roberts’s name appears on pervy Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs? No, it doesn’t say “Chief Justice Roberts,” but it’s him, honest injun! John Roberts is a totally uncommon name and it must be him! And his rulings on SCOTUS cases are controlled by a shadowy cabal because he is compromised by the dirty truth that he’s a pedophile.
But wait! There’s more! Did you know there is a recording of him cursing and plotting to defeat Trump in November? Now, the recording exists, but you can’t hear it. It’s in a safe place and trust the plan.
If you think that all sounds insane, I’m delighted to hear it. Because it does sound insane — like Louise Mensch-level kooky.
If, however, you think any of that is factually true, you’ve chased down the rabbit hole after people feeding you just what you want to hear for their own personal benefit.
As the old saying goes, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
Take the “the John Roberts on the Epstein flight logs is Chief Justice John Roberts” claim.
Since the Supreme Court was in session on the dates when Chief Justice John Roberts was allegedly frolicking on Epstein Island, either John Roberts is the first successful human clone (or a Cylon) or the claim is utter garbage.
But, but, but THERE’S A PICTURE OF HIM PARTYING WITH BILL CLINTON ON EPSTEIN ISLAND!!!!
You mean this picture from 2017 of Bill Clinton vacationing at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic?
Seriously, you guys. Stop. Stop chasing down the rabbit hole.
After the last four years of fake news, how can anyone be so damn gullible?
See, I saw the “news” that there is a secret recording of John Roberts plotting to defeat Trump and my first thought was “Proof would be nice.”
I live by the adage “Show me, don’t tell me.” So I found it rather suspicious that the alleged “proof” (AKA the recording itself) is not available for us to hear.
But, but, but LIN WOOD IS AN ATTORNEY! HE WOULDN’T MAKE THESE CLAIMS WITHOUT PROOF!!!
So by this rubric Michael Avenatti was totally telling the truth about Kavanaugh being part of a cabal of gang rapists as his client claimed because Michael Avenatti is an attorney too and he would NEVER say it unless he had proof.
But, but, but LIN WOOD HAS WON MAJOR DEFAMATION CASES!!
So has John Edwards. So what?
You think every personal injury lawyer who ever won a case is as pure as the wind-driven snow?
If Michael Avenatti taught us anything, it’s that sometimes attorneys can be corrupt, dishonest, venal or just plain opportunistic.
Why do you think the term “ambulance-chaser” exists?
I get it. The November election was sketchy as hell and replete with targeted fraud. And if we don’t fix the problem, we will never have a free and fair election again.
There is reason to be angry over what occurred in this election. But letting your anger turn to desperation leaves you vulnerable to grifters.
This is why immediately after the election I cautioned you to play it cool.
When you work yourself into a lather of blind rage, clear thinking goes out the window. And like clockwork, there will be someone there to exploit the rage for his own benefit.
That’s precisely what Avenatti did with the ResistanceLOL.
You think Michael Avenatti had Stormy Daniels’ best interests at heart? Or do you think he glommed onto this woman because he saw her as his ticket to fame, media attention and wealth courtesy of a desperate, angry ResistanceLOL?
There’s always going to be someone who will find a way to exploit people’s anger or desperation for his own personal gain.
It’s human nature.
Phony “cures” for incurable diseases. “Krakens” that never unleash. “Explosive” audio recordings nobody is allowed to hear …
… that really do exist, pinky swear, but I won’t play them for you, instead I have them in a safe place and when the time is right you will all know the Truth and the Lie will be revealed, but make a donation so I can keep fighting to reveal the Truth, and here’s a Bible verse just so you know I’m serious

Desperation is the easiest emotion to exploit.
Desperate people, eager for a Deus ex Machina to come to their rescue, don’t think twice about following opportunists or grifters down the rabbit hole.
They’ll jettison fact in favor of faith.
They ignore hard evidence in favor of hope.
It’s what inspired people to buy Mueller Prayer Candles for crap’s sake.
To quote the Dowager Countess of Grantham, “Hope is a tease designed to prevent us accepting reality.”
That photo purportedly showing John Roberts at Epstein Island is neither John Roberts nor Epstein Island. That’s reality.
Guys, if your dot-connecting and vast, multi-layered conspiracies are starting to make you sound like Ted Lieu, Rachel Maddow or Adam Schiff, it’s time to step back and reevaluate because you’re deep down in the rabbit hole.
Here’s the sane response to Lin Wood’s claim about a recording of Chief Justice Roberts plotting to get rid of Trump:
“Put up or shut up.”
Until he does, Wood’s claim should be met with exactly the same skepticism as Adam Schiff claiming he has proof Trump colluded with Russia but you’re not allowed to see it.
It is not sane to take his claims on faith and chase down the rabbit hole after him.
Because if you do that, you’ve lost your sense of perspective.
I am certain some of you reading this are stewing in fury – vowing to never read another post at PatriotRetort.com ever again and calling me a traitor for not having faith in a personal injury lawyer.
That’s your choice.
When you prefer warm, fuzzy reassurances over healthy skepticism, who wouldn’t get upset with someone unwilling to fill you with warm fuzzies?
But I won’t fill you with warm fuzzies. Sorry. Not happening.
I’ve never believed it was my job to tell you what you want to hear. I won’t peddle in wishful thinking and misplaced faith. And nothing pisses me off more than charlatans and grifters who exploit people desperate to have their wishes come true.
Would I love it if Trump gets vindicated and Biden’s election is proved false? Sure I would. I would welcome that result with delight.
But I won’t chase after fantasies and fictions designed to tell me what I want to hear.
And I won’t put my faith in someone who teases a good game, but doesn’t deliver.
Why on earth would you?
