Newsmax Break Down Bidens' Colbert Interview: 'They Stole It, They're Thieves'

Joe and “Dr.” Jill Biden sat down for a schmoozefest conversation with “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Thursday, for a hard-hitting interview pandering game of “softball,” for which Colbert is famous — when it comes to all things Democrat, that is — as reported by my RedState colleague Becca Lower on Friday.

On Friday night, Newsmax TV’s Greg Kelly, whose ratings have skyrocketed in the aftermath of the election, as Fox News viewers have run away from the Fox, and to Newsmax TV and other pro-Trump news outlets, broke down the Biden-Colbert schmoozefest in blistering fashion.

Kelly got after it, from his opening words:

“They stole it, they’re thieves. In my opinion, they stole it, they’re thieves, and in my opinion, it is very, very obvious. No way that sick, lame, and lazy Joe Biden got more votes than any candidate in human history. Eighty million? That Joe Biden [who] can’t handle his own dog?

“One of the biggest celebrity interviewers these days is Stephen Colbert,” Kelly said. “And I don’t think anybody looked good in this exchange.”

“Colbert went down to Delaware to sit, yes, with ‘Below Average Joe.’ This interview goes on forever, and I gotta tell ya, what comes through more than anything is that Joe is not up to the job; he is a very, very, mediocre and damaged person — and his wife knows it. But maybe I’m reading a little bit too much into this.”

“Let’s see how it started,” Kelly said, before playing a clip of the interview. After Colbert’s syrupy introduction of “the man from Scranton, the next president of the United States,” there sat Joe, that goofy grin we’ve come to know and— and not love. More often, we’ve wondered what’s going on behind those vacuous, staring eyes.

After ridiculing the “dramatic” distance between Biden and Colbert —  COVID restrictions, you know — Kelly said Biden has benefitted “enormously” from COVID.

He contrasted Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign with his ill-fated campaign of 1988, when there were crowds and reporters all around, all the time. Biden’s downfall? “He could not stop lying,” Kelly said.

As he got back into the interview, Kelly reminded viewers of the old adage, “when you tell the truth, you never have to remember what you said.” He then played several clips of Biden giving different accounts of when and why he decided to run for president, all of which, Kelly said, were based on Biden lying about Donald Trump’s alleged “very fine people on both sides” in reference to the violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“This is a small thing, I know — but I do believe I caught Joe” (lying), Kelly said.

Kelly just played the following exchange, in reference to Hunter Biden:

Colbert:

“As much as you don’t want it to happen, you know that the people who want to make hay in Washington are going to try to use your adult son as a cudgel against you. How do you feel about that and what do you have to say to those people?”

[Example #5,849,637 of why Stephen Colbert is dishonest shilling hack for the Democrat Party, bereft of the slightest of integrity.]

Biden, feigning personal hurt, started to answer but Kelly cut from the clip, laughing:

“We’ll leave it at that; you’ve heard his non-answers before on this question. This is a huge, huge, vulnerability for Joe Biden. ”They’re gonna use this against you.’ No. We have fundamental questions about Joe Biden’s integrity.

“This is not just about Hunter. We know he has problems; every family has, you know, wayward kids, whatever. But it’s much more serious. This goes to you, Joe. Remember Lt. Bobulinski?”

“He then played a clip of Bobulinksi: “I remember looking at Jim Biden and asking ‘how are you guys getting away with this; aren’t you concerned? He looked at me and he laughed a little bit, and said ‘plausible deniability.'”

“They had a whole system set up,” Kelly said. “Allegedly.” Yet we know the mainstream media protect Joe Biden, and a lot of other powerful people are all out to protect this guy.”

“Back to the interview,” he said. “Jill Biden, one of the many reasons I’m pulling for Trump, here — I prefer Melania to “Dr.” Biden — before playing “the doctor” talking about what she was looking forward to as First Lady.

“I’m really looking forward to being First Lady and doing the things that I did as Second Lady, carrying on with military families, and education, and free community college, and, uh, you know, cancer — that Joe and I have both worked on…”

As Kelly continued, an on-screen chyron featuring a New York Post headline read: “Tax filings reveal Biden cancer charity spent millions on salaries, zero on research.”

“Hmmm, Kelly said, as the clip ends.

As The Post reported in mid-November, the Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by Joe and Jill to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to IRS filings.

The charity took in $4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on payroll in those two years. The group’s president, Gregory Simon, raked in $429,850 in fiscal 2018 (July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019), according to the charity’s most recent federal tax filings.

Greg Kelly was right. The Bidens have much to answer for, which, most likely, will never be asked. On the contrary, the Democrat state media now views as its sacred duty the protection of all things Joe and Jill Biden. As for Stephen Colbert, meh.
