White House senior
adviser Jared Kushner met with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu as he led a U.S. delegation to the Jewish State. As part of
his stop in the nation on Monday, Kushner and Netanyahu participated in a
tree planting ceremony in Jerusalem.
On Tuesday, Kushner will
accompany Israel’s national security adviser during a meeting with the
King of Morocco. This meeting comes as Israel continues to normalize
ties with the African nation.
Kushner said that regional transformation has officially begun in the Middle East.
“First
Israel made peace with the United Arab Emirates, then with the Kingdom
of Bahrain, then Kosovo and Serbia, then Sudan and just recently
Morocco,” he explained. “We must continue to write new and exciting
chapters and not revert to old thinking and failed ideas. The world is
now changing fast and for the better.”
Kushner said that President Trump’s bold decisions, like moving the U.S.
Embassy to Jerusalem, have led to a spike in peace deals in the Middle
East.
